The PR & Content Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and management of public relations and content marketing activities for CU Direct and its brands. This individual ensures that all PR and communication activities support. corporate and thought leader initiatives and are in alignment with the annual marketing plan.
Principal Responsibilities:
Public Relations/Media Management: (40%)
  • Develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media
  • Plan and execute public relations initiatives that builds and nurtures a favorable public image for CU Direct within multiple vertical markets
  • Build, manage, and maintain media relationships to represent CU Direct and gain positive media exposure
  • Create press releases and other media-related correspondence
  • Maintain PR/News pages on corporate and brand websites
  • Identify and train appropriate staff for media interviews
  • Monitor and report performance data for all PR activities
  • Manage annual public relations budget in alignment with marketing budget
  • Provide regularly scheduled reporting and monthly presentations to management

Content Creation Management: (30%)
  • Work closely with marketing team to develop a content strategy that aligns with marketing goals and drives high engagement.
  • Plan and execute content initiatives including blog articles, case studies, white papers, editorials, and other forms of owned media that positions CU Direct as a thought-leader in multiple vertical markets.
  • Develop and manage a content calendar to ensure regular content throughout the year.
  • Keep up to date with industry best practice and monitor content activities of competitor websites.
  • Track web analytics to ascertain engagement levels and evaluate the impact of content to continuously improve engagement strategy.
  • Manage and nurture outsource content writers to create impactful and accurate content across multiple channels

Blog & Social Media Support: (20%)
  • Work with digital marketing writer to monitor social media and online conversations, and respond with appropriate messaging.

Education:
  • B.A degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, or Communications

Experience:
  • Five + years public relations experience
  • Three to four years' experience writing digital content for a large agency or

The starting salary range for this full-time position is $99,400 - $124,300 per year. Base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program.
