Location:  Chicago, IL (This position will only travel as needed)

Reports to: Senior Video Producer

Salary range: $72,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary editor for the campaign's day-to-day video production needs.

  • Transform existing footage into polished, platform-ready content for social media, digital advertising, fundraising, and rapid response.

  • Edit short-form and long-form videos while maintaining the campaign's visual style, pacing, and messaging.

  • Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Video Producer, Creative Director, and digital team to execute the campaign's creative vision.

  • Organize, label, and maintain video assets and project files to ensure an efficient post-production workflow.

  • Incorporate graphics, captions, music, color correction, sound mixing, and basic motion graphics into finished videos.

  • Assist with video production and camera operation on an as-needed basis for campaign events or special projects.

Skills required

  • Strong editing, storytelling, and post-production skills with an eye for pacing and visual communication.

  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects and Photoshop.

  • Ability to produce high-quality content quickly while managing multiple deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in file management and post-production workflows.

  • Experience editing social-first content optimized for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X.

  • Familiarity with professional camera equipment and production workflows; experience operating cameras is preferred but not required.

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced creative, political, advocacy, or news environment is a plus.
