Content Strategy Specialist
DoStuff is looking for a dynamic, organized, and culturally tuned-in Content Strategy Specialist to lead the charge in creating and executing digital content that drives audience engagement and partner success. This role bridges editorial vision with campaign execution, ensuring our newsletters, websites, and digital media campaigns are vibrant, engaging, and aligned with both local culture and partner goals.
You'll own the daily newsletter and content calendar, coordinate with clients and internal teams on digital campaigns, and represent the voice of the local scene through sharp copywriting and community connection. If you're as comfortable writing compelling email copy as you are managing a media campaign from end to end, this is the creative-operations role for you.
This is a full-time position based in Seattle, offering a total compensation package of $66,000 to $68,200, depending on experience.
What You'll Do:
Newsletter & Editorial
- Own and write the daily email newsletterโcurate and create engaging short-form content featuring the best events, experiences, and promotions.
- Grow and manage the newsletter listโoptimize for engagement through testing, performance metrics, and best practices.
- Maintain editorial consistency and tone across platformsโensuring quality and brand alignment.
- Build and manage a network of contributors to cover niche and mainstream cultural content (music, food, arts, etc.).
Campaign Coordination
- Execute and project-manage paid digital campaignsโaligning with sales and accounts teams to deliver high-performing content.
- Write and oversee campaign copy (email, web, social) that reflects both client goals and DoStuff's tone.
- Manage campaign timelines, track assets, and coordinate cross-functional tasks between internal teams and clients.
- Monitor campaign performance, generate post-campaign reports, and ensure renewal opportunities are captured.
Content & Platform Management
- Maintain a high-quality websiteโCurate and manage local event listings, venue and artist pages on our website.
- Ensure timely, relevant, and accurate content across all of our channels (website, email, social)
- Manage social media channelsโcreating content, engaging with followers, and ensuring our creator network is pushing out the appropriate amount of content to keep our channels active and engaged.
- Execute sponsored contentโintegrating partner promotions naturally into our newsletters and website and track the performance.
Community & Social Engagement
- Collaborate with local venues, promoters, and brands for partnerships, giveaways, ticket inventory, and exclusive content.
- Manage social media presence with editorial alignmentโengaging content and community touchpoints.
- Respond to user & partner inquiries and foster a positive experience across platforms.
What We're Looking For:
- A natural storyteller and editorโcrafting compelling short-form content with clarity and voice.
- Obsessed with newsletters, digital culture, and local events.
- Organized and proactiveโadept at managing timelines, stakeholders, and multiple projects simultaneously.
- A confident communicatorโcan synthesize information quickly and relay it with clarity (via email, Slack, phone).
- Knowledgeable about your city's event landscapeโvenues, festivals, nightlife, and more.
Bonus Points If You:
- Use DoXYZ regularly or have worked in the music/entertainment industry.
- Have experience growing newsletter audiences or managing digital campaigns.
- Are active on social media or have a portfolio of editorial work.
- Have knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, or email performance optimization.
