About the Role
At Común, brand is trust. We serve a community that has historically been underserved by financial institutions - and for many of our users, Común will be their first experience with a brand that actually speaks to them. This role owns that first impression.
We are looking for a Content Manager who will be the face of Común. You will create content that is clear, warm, and credible - appearing on camera, behind the keyboard, and across every channel where our community shows up. You are equally comfortable writing a punchy Instagram caption, scripting and filming a short-form video, and planning the production calendar that delivers assets on time.
Reporting to the Brand & Content Lead, you will translate our brand narrative into high-quality, high-volume content across formats. Rather than just experiment with AI, you treat these tools as essential to your craft - using them to move faster, maintain quality, and stay ahead of the content calendar. You are organized, resourceful, and deeply connected to the communities we serve.
This role is based in New York City.
Written and spoken fluency in both English and Spanish required
What You'll Do
- Be the face of Común across social and video channels - scripting, filming, presenting, and publishing content that represents our brand with authenticity and warmth
- Execute content across paid marketing and OOH formats - owning creation and delivery of assets varying across short-form and long-form video, static social posts, landing page copy, radio scripts, and OOH large format stills, among others
- Own and manage the content production cycles - working with the Brand & Content Lead, prioritize creation learnings and own the production calendar to meet needs across product launches, seasonal moments, and paid media campaign iteration
- Scale your output with AI - Use AI tools throughout your workflow to increase output, accelerate drafts, and maintain quality across a high volume of deliverables
- Incorporate content data into your priorities - use insights across organic, paid media, and in-app channels to translate data signals into new content ideas
- Triage content production - coordinate production needs across micro-influencers, designers, photographers, and agencies as required to ensure required assets are produce on-time, at high quality
You Are
- On-Camera Confident. You are comfortable being the face of a brand on video - not just passable, but genuinely compelling. You know how to connect with an audience through a screen.
- Video forward, but Multi-Format Fluent. Your creative and editing base is in video. You are at home editing, adding after effects, and polishing videos in programs like CapCut, but can adapt quickly between producing a TikTok script, a landing page headline, and a YouTube thumbnail brief without missing a beat. Format doesn't constrain you - it energizes you.
- AI-Native. You actively use AI tools as a core part of your creative process. You see them as a multiplier, not a shortcut, and you know how to get great output from them.
- Organized Under Pressure. You can manage a content calendar across multiple channels, juggle competing priorities, and hit deadlines in a fast-moving startup environment - without sacrificing quality.
- Community-Connected. You have a deep connection to the Latin American immigrant experience in the US, which helps you base your content and tone in respect, care, credibility, and humor.
- Data-Curious. You pay attention to what performs and why. You're comfortable pulling basic analytics, forming hypotheses, and adjusting your approach based on what the numbers tell you.
- Collaborative by Default. You work closely with brand, product, growth, and operations teammates, and you raise the bar by giving and receiving direct, thoughtful feedback.
- Owner. You show passion and care for your work and the company's trajectory. You take initiative, move with urgency, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes - not just outputs.
Requirements
- Written and spoken fluency in both English and Spanish required
- 3-5 years of experience in content creation, social media, or brand marketing - ideally at a consumer startup, fintech, or media brand
- Demonstrated on-camera experience: a portfolio or channel showing you can perform, present, or host on video in a brand-aligned way
- Strong portfolio showing range across formats: video, written copy, stills, and longer form written content, as needed
- Proven ability to manage a multi-channel content calendar and prioritize against business objectives
- Experience using AI tools as a meaningful part of your content workflow and multiplier of your ability to test new hypotheses
- Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) and content scheduling tools
- Familiarity with basic performance analytics - Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics, or equivalent
- Proven cultural competency around our core user - a Latin American immigrant in the US
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or a regulated industry
- Experience in smaller organizations that need to actively balance precision with pace
- Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent)
- Experience working with or managing freelancers, creators, or production vendors
- Familiarity with lifecycle / email marketing tools (Braze, Klaviyo, Iterable, or equivalent)
Team
We are a team of 40 based out of New York, coming from industry-leading companies like Brex, Nubank, Cruise, and Verkada. Over half of us are immigrants, and have experienced the problems we're solving first hand. We value customer focus, high ambition, principled decision-making, and deep trust.
Full Time Employee Benefits
  • Competitive salary and generous equity
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Gym Pass subscription
  • Daily office lunch in NYC Office
  • Paid parental leave
  • Flexible PTO
  • Remote-friendly when traveling
  • Company-wide offsites
  • 401(k) for US employees
  • Visit to our NYC Office for remote team members
  • Visa sponsorship if applicable
