Job description

Description:

This position serves as the operational and creative hub of our graphic design team. This is a unique hybrid role for someone who is equally comfortable discussing room set aesthetics with stylists as they are managing timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and keeping complex product launches on track. While this position requires a trained eye for design aesthetics, photography, and brand consistency to ensure assets align with a collection's vision (approx. 15% visual stewardship), the core of this role is operational.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Creative Direction & Visual Oversight

  • Serve as the guardian of a collection’s visual vision throughout development and launch.
  • Translate creative briefs, inspiration boards, and stylist direction into actionable creative deliverables.
  • Partner closely with studio stylists to evaluate and select roomsets, photography, and supporting imagery that best represent the intended aesthetic of each collection.
  • Ensure visual consistency and brand alignment across sample books, digital assets, print materials, ecommerce content, sales tools, trade materials, and launch campaigns.
  • Review graphics, photography, layouts, and marketing materials to ensure they accurately communicate collection positioning and design intent.
  • Apply knowledge of interior design principles, color, composition, styling, and visual storytelling when making creative decisions.

Project & Studio Management

  • Lead and develop Graphic Design and DPR teams, including both internal and external creative resources.
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of projects against constantly shifting deadlines originating from Line Plan meetings and product launch schedules.
  • Coordinate the development of sample book graphics, digital assets, print collateral, launch materials, and supporting creative deliverables.
  • Maintain visibility into project status, resource allocation, deadlines, dependencies, and launch readiness.
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and conflicting priorities while developing solutions that keep projects moving forward.
  • Facilitate regular project reviews, prioritization meetings, and cross-functional communication.

Collection Development & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Ecommerce, Production, Product Development, Product Information, Graphics, and Styling teams throughout every stage of collection development.
  • Manage the flow of information across departments to ensure creative teams have the resources, approvals, and direction needed to execute successfully.
  • Organize and lead knowledge-sharing meetings that improve communication and alignment between teams.
  • Partner with Marketing leaders to ensure assets are developed appropriately for all channels and customer audiences.

Quality Control & Process Improvement

  • Champion and reinforce the proofing process to minimize errors and maintain the highest quality standards.
  • Lead color proofing reviews and support color accuracy across printed and digital materials.
  • Ensure all imagery, graphics, product information, and marketing assets are accurate, complete, and on brand.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain quality standards from concept through final production.
  • Continuously evaluate workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, communication, and accuracy.

Marketing & Sales Support

  • Create and oversee the development of internal sales tools, sample books, presentation materials, and trade show assets.
  • Create and manage consumer-facing marketing materials across print and digital channels.
  • Support collection launches with coordinated creative assets that maintain consistency across all customer touchpoints.

Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Interior Design, Marketing Design, or a related creative discipline.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills.
