Job description

About Rivian

Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.

As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Role Summary

As the AI Community & Content Lead, you will be the community builder and storyteller driving our company’s internal AI transformation. This is a high-visibility, staff-level individual contributor role, reporting to Head of Enterprise AI

In this role, you will not only design the content, communications and training strategies for our Enterprise AI products, but you will also be the "heartbeat" of our AI-first culture—energizing our internal communities, orchestrating high-impact events like hackathons, and scaling AI engagement globally.

Responsibilities
  • Central AI Portal Governance: Own the content strategy and architecture of our central AI portal, ensuring it serves as the definitive, high-quality single source of truth for all corporate AI initiatives.
  • Strategic Communication: Define and execute the overarching communication roadmap to drive AI literacy across all business units. Personally craft premium-quality newsletters and executive updates. Partner with Enterprise comms team on execution.
  • Enterprise Training & Workshops: Design, build, and continuously evolve the training content for our premier AI platforms. Personally facilitate training workshops and interactive enablement sessions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • AI Events & Hackathons: Plan, scale, and execute high-impact internal AI events, including global hackathons, "AI Demo Days," and guest speaker series to drive practical experimentation and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Community Activation & Culture: Own and energize our internal AI communities. Act as the chief moderator, curator, and connector—sparking daily engagement, sharing wins, answering questions, and fostering a vibrant culture of sharing everything from prompt tips and best practices through use cases and agent / application development.
  • External Thought Leadership & PR: Partner with executive leadership, Communications and Investor Relations teams to ghostwrite external technical blogs, whitepapers, and press releases that showcase our AI innovation to the tech industry.

Qualifications
  • AI Fluency: Strong, practical understanding of GenAI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and enterprise AI tools. You must be able to speak fluidly with multiple categories of users from AI product managers through software engineers and everyday business users.
  • Content & Visual Excellence: Exceptional portfolio demonstrating the ability to craft both rigorous training content and highly engaging corporate storytelling. Elite presentation and design/delivery skills (e.g., advanced Google Slides / Canva).
  • Influence and Impact: Proven capability as a high-level individual contributor who can mobilize cross-functional volunteers, manage stakeholders, and influence VP+ leadership. Track record of proven performance in driving engagement and adoption KPIs.
  • Executive Communications: Proven track record to prepare updates for the executive audience and partner with executives (CIO, Head of AI, etc) to share our AI journey to a variety of audiences.
  • Community & Event Mastery: Proven track record of building and scaling active internal or external technical communities (e.g., Slack, Discord) and organizing large-scale corporate events like hackathons or tech symposiums.
  • Collaboration: Exceptional at collaborating cross functionally; working with technical teams in Software and Hardware orgs and Enterprise communications team
  • Experience: 8–12+ years of experience in Technical Enablement, Community Management, Developer Relations (DevRel), or Change Management within high-growth tech environments.
