Job Purpose
This role strengthens content quality, consistency, and scalability across the organization. By adhering to governance, leading strategic planning, and improving cross-functional alignment, the Content Writer and Strategist ensure content effectively supports business goals and enhances overall customer experience.
The Content Writer and Strategist is primarily responsible for writing mortgage marketing content. Additionally, this role is responsible for supporting a unified content strategy that supports organizational objectives, strengthens brand consistency, and drives customer engagement for ICE Surefire / ICE Customer Acquisition. This role supports content planning, governance, creative direction, and performance optimization across multiple channels, including but not limited to email, SMS, social media, newsletters, and educational materials.
The Content Writer and Strategist partners closely with cross-functional teams Product, legal, compliance to ensure content is scalable, high-quality, and aligned with business priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Creative Direction & Development
    • Write content for mortgage marketing emails, newsletters, SMS, social campaigns, and educational assets.
    • Review and refine content created by writers, designers, and cross-functional contributors.
    • Translate complex mortgage information into clear, accessible content.
  • Content Strategy & Planning
    • Develop the content strategy, messaging framework, and channel-specific plans.
    • Maintain a centralized content calendar across campaigns, automated workflows, and marketing initiatives.
    • Identify content needs, gaps, and opportunities across the mortgage lifecycle.
    • Conduct ongoing content audits to support prioritization and continuous improvement.
  • Content Governance & Standards
    • Maintain content standards, editorial guidelines, templates, and review processes.
    • Ensure all content meets quality, compliance, accuracy, and brand requirements.
    • Promote consistent voice and messaging across teams and channels.
  • Performance Measurement & Optimization
    • Monitor engagement metrics and implement data-driven improvements.
    • Earn industry awards for published mortgage content.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with product, legal, compliance, and creative teams to align content with business goals.
    • Participate in content planning cycles, stakeholder reviews, and workflow coordination.

Knowledge and Experience
  • Three plus years of writing experience
  • Proven experience in content strategy for the mortgage industry, digital marketing, lifecycle marketing, or related fields
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail
  • Experience managing multi-channel content programs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across teams
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, marketing automation systems, and content production workflows
  • Familiarity with using AI to help generate content (writing and imagery) while maintaining brand voice, tone, style, and compliance

Preferred Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, or other regulated industries
