The Opportunity

Our location in Columbus, OH, currently has an opportunity for a Strategic Content Planner.

The Content Planner role is part of the Strategic Planning and Operations team within the internal agency, Creative + Digital Services (CDS). The Content Planner will lead the development of integrated content strategies, messaging frameworks, activation plans, and creative briefs in support of the Pediatric or Adult Brand teams.

As the Content Planner, you will be responsible for translating brand objectives, audience insights and business prioritites into strategic content guidance that informs creative development.t You'll serve as the strategic partner to the Brand team, ensuring content strategies align with the brand's vision, consumer expectations and business goals. This role demands strong strategic thinking, audience understanding, communication skills, and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable content and campaign recommendations. In today's fragmented media landscape, this role ensures that every idea, message, and execution works together to create a unified brand experience-driving results and building lasting connections with audiences.

What You'll Work On

Primary Function of Role

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Serve as the lead content strategist for Pediatric Nutrition /Adult Nutrition deliverables across the internal agency.
  • Develop omni-channel, consumer-centric content marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and ROI goals.
  • Create strategic deliverables including content and messaging frameworks, positioning recommendations, consumer journeys, influencer strategies, and activation plans.
  • Write clear, inspiring creative briefs to guide the creative development process.
  • Ensure strategic recommendations, content frameworks and creative briefs reflect business objectives, brand guidelines, audience insights, and a consistent messaging approach.
  • Outline and rationalize key goals, strategies, tactics, and roadmaps.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with internal and external creative and media teams to provide audience insights, strategic direction and content recommendations that inform breakthrough creative ideas. O
  • Responsible for collaboration with leadership of brand agency partners for cross-channel planning and integration/execution of all marketing efforts, as well as creative and strategic leadership
  • Facilitate clear communication, alignment, and collaboration across disciplines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders (Brand Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Public Affairs, Executive Management) and external partners (vendors, agencies).
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to brand teams by presenting integrated content plans and recommendations that demonstrate how content activities will achieve brand objectives,

Campaign Integration & Execution

  • Connect consumer insights, brand strategy, and channel execution into cohesive campaign frameworks to ensure alignment across channels - digital, social, experiential, traditional and earned media.
  • Advocate for emerging media technologies and integrate new platforms into the marketing mix.
  • Lead cross-channel planning and execution in partnership with brand agency teams.

Data-Driven Strategy & Optimization

  • Expert ability to synthesize and interpret primary and secondary data and translate into actionable data-backed recommendations that demonstrate a deep understanding of the brand's goals, target audiences, category trends/opportunities, and industry pressures/threats
  • Expert knowledge of digital trends and channel best practices as well as foundational strategic frameworks such as purchase funnel, feasibility matrices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field
  • 7+ years of marketing strategy experience leading or guiding Brand Strategy in CPG or Health related industries.
  • Brand management experience preferred.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to facilitate communication and share out of results and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment and lead strong teams through rapidly evolving, complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other teams.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently
