They evaluate text, images, videos, and other media for inappropriate, offensive, or harmful material, removing or reporting content that violates policies. Content Moderators play a crucial role in maintaining safe and respectful online environments, often working in teams and using specialized tools or software. Their work helps prevent the spread of misinformation, hate speech, and other problematic content online.

Job description

About High Scale
We're High Scale - a future-focused, data-obsessed agency revolutionizing video advertising on TV and social media. Think Amazon's obsession with customer experience meets SpaceX's fearless ambition-that's the DNA behind everything we do.
Our 120-person team of creatives, strategists, and innovators produces thousands of high-impact campaigns weekly for the world's leading lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and DTC brands. With 50,000 sq. ft. of DTLA studios and a global influencer network, we're building the future of performance-driven content-and we need creators who understand how to turn attention into action.
We move fast, experiment constantly, and believe the best content comes from people who aren't afraid to try something new. If you're naturally creative, comfortable in front of the camera, plugged into what's happening on social media, and excited by the challenge of making people stop scrolling, you'll thrive at High Scale.
Why This Role Matters
Great content doesn't happen by accident.
As a Content Creator, you'll help bring brands to life through authentic, entertaining, and high-performing content built for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and paid social. You'll be involved from idea to execution-coming up with concepts, appearing on camera, creating content, and learning from performance.
We're not looking for someone who simply knows how to make a nice-looking video. We're looking for someone who understands why people watch, why they engage, and why they buy.
You'll work alongside Creative Strategists, Copywriters, Producers, Editors, and other creators to develop content that feels native to the platform while still delivering on the brand's objectives.
If you're constantly thinking, "I could make that better," "What if we tried this?", or "I know exactly why that video went viral," this could be your kind of role.
What You'll Do
Create Scroll-Stopping Content
Create short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and paid social campaigns.
Appear on camera as a host, spokesperson, UGC creator, or talent depending on the creative concept.
Deliver natural, engaging performances that feel authentic rather than overly scripted.
Create content across a variety of formats including product demonstrations, testimonials, tutorials, lifestyle content, storytelling, reactions, trends, and direct-response ads.
Turn Ideas Into Content
Collaborate with Creative Strategists, Copywriters, and Producers to develop concepts and creative angles.
Bring your own ideas to the table based on trends, audience behavior, and platform culture.
Translate scripts and creative briefs into compelling on-camera performances.
Know when to follow the script-and when a spontaneous moment can make the content better.
Stay Ahead of Social Trends
Constantly monitor TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms for trends, formats, sounds, creators, and cultural moments.
Understand what makes content feel native rather than like a traditional advertisement.
Quickly adapt trends into brand-appropriate concepts while they're still relevant.
Bring fresh references and ideas to the creative team.
Create With Performance in Mind
Understand that content is ultimately designed to capture attention and drive action.
Work with Creative and Strategy teams to understand campaign objectives, target audiences, and key messaging.
Review performance data and creative feedback to understand what's working and what needs to change.
Create new variations of successful concepts to improve performance and combat creative fatigue.
Support Production
Participate in pre-production planning, rehearsals, and shoot days.
Work with Producers, Directors, Set Designers, Gaffers, and Editors to bring concepts to life.
Help with basic content setup, including framing, lighting, audio, props, and wardrobe when needed.
Be prepared to jump into different creative roles depending on the needs of the production.
Who You Are
Natural On-Camera Personality
You're comfortable speaking to a camera and can hold attention without feeling forced or overly rehearsed.
You know how to make a product, story, or idea feel exciting and relatable.
You can adjust your energy and communication style depending on the audience and brand.
Social Media Native
You don't just use TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube-you understand them.
You know what formats are trending, what makes people stop scrolling, and how platform culture changes quickly.
You're constantly consuming content and naturally notice patterns in what performs.
Creative Instincts
You have a strong sense of what makes an idea interesting.
You can take a basic concept and turn it into something entertaining, unexpected, relatable, or attention-grabbing.
You're comfortable experimenting and aren't afraid of an idea failing if it means discovering something better.
Performance-Minded
You understand that views aren't the only goal.
You care about retention, engagement, clicks, conversions, and ultimately whether the content helps a brand achieve its objective.
You're excited to look at performance results and use them to make your next piece of content better.
Adaptable & Resourceful
You can move quickly between different brands, products, audiences, and creative styles.
You're comfortable receiving feedback, making changes, and trying another approach.
When something goes wrong on set, you're more likely to think "How do we fix this?" than "That's not my job."
Energized by Creating
You bring personality and enthusiasm to the work.
You're someone who naturally comes up with ideas, asks questions, and looks for opportunities to contribute beyond what's written in the brief.
You enjoy being part of a team that moves quickly, experiments often, and is always trying to make the next piece of content better than the last.
What We're Looking For
  • 1-3+ years of experience creating social media, UGC, influencer, branded, or short-form video content
  • Strong on-camera presence and communication skills
  • Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or similar platforms
  • Comfortable working from scripts while maintaining a natural delivery
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and internet culture
  • Portfolio or examples of previous content required
  • Experience with basic filming, lighting, audio, or editing is a plus
  • Experience creating content for DTC, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, wellness, or eCommerce brands is a plus
  • Professional-level English communication skills
Perks & Benefits
Create Content for Major Brands
Work on campaigns for exciting lifestyle, beauty, fashion, wellness, and DTC brands that are reaching audiences across the world.
Be Part of the Creative Process
You're not just talent waiting for a script. You'll have opportunities to contribute ideas, concepts, hooks, and creative direction.
Build Your Creator Portfolio
Work across a wide range of formats, industries, and creative styles while building a portfolio of professional commercial content.
Grow Your Creative Career
Develop your skills across content creation, UGC, performance marketing, production, and creative strategy-with opportunities to grow as High Scale expands.
Work in a 50,000 sq. ft. Production Studio
Collaborate with talented Producers, Directors, Strategists, Editors, Designers, and fellow creators in a high-energy creative environment.
A Team That Loves to Experiment
We're constantly testing new ideas, formats, hooks, and creative approaches. Your next great idea could become the next winning ad.
High Scale is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity because exceptional creative work comes from different perspectives, personalities, experiences, and ideas. If you're obsessed with content, love being on camera, and want to create work that actually gets watched, shared, and remembered, we'd love to hear from you.
