About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and creative SEO & Content Marketing Specialist to drive organic growth, increase brand visibility, and generate qualified leads through content marketing and search engine optimization initiatives.
This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that supports business objectives, improves search rankings, and engages target audiences throughout the customer journey. The ideal candidate combines strong writing and storytelling skills with technical SEO expertise and a data-driven mindset. They are passionate about creating valuable content, optimizing digital experiences, and continuously improving performance through analytics and testing.
This position works closely with leadership, sales teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to ensure marketing efforts support company growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
SEO & Website Optimization
  • Conduct keyword research to identify content opportunities and search trends.
  • Optimize website content, metadata, page structure, and internal linking for improved search performance.
  • Perform routine SEO audits and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor website rankings, traffic, and engagement metrics.
  • Assist with technical SEO initiatives in partnership with website developers and vendors.
  • Stay current on SEO best practices, search engine updates, and industry trends.
  • Review and recommend website updates to improve user experience and search visibility.

Content Creation & Management
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with business objectives.
  • Write, edit, and publish blog articles, website content, landing pages, case studies, customer success stories, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create content that supports sales and business development efforts.
  • Repurpose content across multiple digital channels to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Ensure all content aligns with company branding, messaging, and marketing goals.
  • Maintain organized content libraries and historical marketing assets.

Digital Marketing Support
  • Support email marketing, social media, and digital campaigns.
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives with leadership and outside vendors.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials for print, web, video, and digital advertising.
  • Help manage relationships with external marketing agencies and contractors.
  • Track and claim MDF and Co-Op funding opportunities when applicable.
  • Support company marketing initiatives and special projects as needed.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Monitor and report on content performance, website traffic, keyword rankings, and lead generation metrics.
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Utilize analytics tools to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Track marketing ROI and provide regular performance updates.

Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and website platforms.
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in B2B technology, managed IT services, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating technical and educational content.
  • Understanding of paid search, email marketing, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field; OR 8 years of relevant experience in marketing, digital communications, or information technology (one year of education equals two years of experience).
  • 2-5 years of experience in SEO, content marketing, digital marketing, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated success creating content and improving organic search performance.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
