Content Specialist
Job Description
As a Content Specialist, you lead the development and implementation of search engine optimized content for your assigned clients. You communicate regularly with your clients and occasionally travel to meet with them face-to-face. You help develop training for the Content Department and delegate tasks to the Content Coordinators when appropriate. You leverage digital platforms to strategically and creatively release copy, keeping your clients' goal top of mind. You conduct content audits and utilize data analysis to make strategic recommendations to your client's content marketing programs. You develop written content for location pages, static pages, short-form and long-form blogs. Your ability to introduce new and fresh ideas to your clients will ensure both your and your clients' success!
Job Expectations
  • Provide excellent service as the main point of contact for assigned client accounts
  • Write copy primarily for location pages, static pages, blogs, and premium articles, however, you also work on social media posts, infographics, and other relevant content
  • Develop content implementation schedules and editorial calendars to ensure timely development and distribution
  • Adhere to branding guidelines, along with required voice and tone and conduct keyword research when applicable
  • Edit, rewrite, and proofread existing content created for Go Local Interactive and its clientele
  • Conduct regular content audits for GLI's current clients and deliver recommendations for improvement
  • Leverage digital platforms to strategically release copy
  • Clearly and consistently communicate between internal product teams
  • Present solutions and recommendations based on data analysis related to content to prospective clients
  • Develop long-term strategies for assigned client's content programs
  • Support the New Business and Strategy Departments with sales, organic growth, and client retention
  • Delegate tasks to Content Coordinators when appropriate
  • Responsible for training Content Coordinators and cross-training employees throughout the agency
  • Ensure internal programs are properly positioned with our clients through product innovation and ideation
  • Research and stay up-to-date on industry trends

  • Must demonstrate a proven track record of the ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a flexible and fast paced environment to effectively meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate strong conceptual and written communication skills with a deep understanding of the English language (spelling, grammar, and vocabulary)

Required Experience
