Job Description
Our client is seeking a Marketing Manager for a direct hire opportunity. The Marketing Manager is Responsible for coordination of all the Bank's marketing strategies: branding, social media, digital presence, website, marketing materials, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Bank's marketing consultants play a significant role in developing marketing materials, and that relationship requires effective and efficient coordination by the Marketing Manager. Will ensure a seamless flow of information and content between the Bank and consultants to ensure a timely delivery of marketing materials. This position requires that the individual work in office, independently, and with minimal supervision.
This position manages all other personnel in the marketing department and requires exposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of discretion, judgment, and confidentiality.
Ensures compliance within all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
  • Managing all members of the marketing department to ensure the objectives of the department are met, including assigning projects/tasks, providing mentoring and guidance, tracking progress toward completion, and holding staff accountable for their actions
  • Reviewing and approving timecards as necessary and managing time off for staff
  • General objects of the marketing department falling under the responsibility of this position include the following
  • Track all marketing initiatives to ensure the department objectives are met and marketing materials are delivered timely
  • Coordinate with consultants to develop collateral materials including advertisements, flyers, brochures, event-specific materials, promotional gifts/giveaways, bank letterhead, business cards, etc.
  • In coordination with marketing consultants, update content on the Bank's website, internet marketing, and social media, including branding, social media incorporation, all content and copy accuracy for Bank and community levels
  • Develop, implement, and manage the social media strategy to align with the company's strategic goals and ensure new content is regularly posted on social media to promote brand awareness
  • Define the most important KPIs and measure the success of marketing initiatives
  • Incorporate CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) opportunities into the Bank's marketing strategies wherever possible
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for outside vendors and internal management members related to advertising and media
  • Help plan and attend internal and external events to ensure proper bank representation
  • Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations and use this information to help the Bank operate with initiative and innovation
  • Work with senior management, branch staff and others to develop and maintain a strategic perspective, based on marketplace, bank direction, and programs and services
  • Minimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursed
  • Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, advertising or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on digital communications/marketing experience required (including social media, website, online communication design/development, copywriting)
  • Highly proficient in social media outlets including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
  • Proficiency in Adobe Design Standard Software and other technical software
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and exceptional written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, well-organized, with an excellent eye for detail
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Have an excellent ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment to successfully meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel to various locations
