Job description

Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

This range is provided by Potomac. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

At Potomac, we don’t do bloated org charts or endless committee meetings. We’re a ~$2.5B+ AUM/AUA asset manager that serves independent broker-dealers and RIAs with one mission: to cut through the noise and deliver results.

Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, we combine institutional-grade investment expertise with a quantitative process that is Built to Conquer Risk®.

As Content Manager at Potomac, you will orchestrate the end-to-end logistics of our content ecosystem—from insightful educational pieces crafted by our Research Team, to compelling studio interviews with some of the industry's most influential voices, to imaginative campaigns designed to captivate new audiences and elevate brand visibility.

This role requires a savvy communicator and creative strategist who blends deep messaging experience with interdepartmental logistics acumen. You will work closely with the CMO to develop campaigns that build trust, drive engagement, and convert interest into long-term relationships.

Additionally, we utilize the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to keep our teams focused and accountable, enabling us to identify and address both challenges and opportunities effectively.

You’ll oversee: Content Creation, Interdepartmental Logistics, Internal Communications

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the central liaison between Marketing, Research, Sales, and Creative teams to ensure content initiatives are aligned and well-executed.
  • Facilitate smooth communication and workflow across departments for timely content delivery.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, business objectives, and audience engagement goals.
Content Production
  • Collaborate with CMO to develop and oversee creative campaigns designed to expand reach, drive engagement, and elevate brand visibility.
  • Serve as project manager for the full lifecycle of content creation—from ideation to publication—across written, video, audio, and digital formats.
  • Work closely with designers, writers, and digital marketers to bring campaigns to life across channels.
Workflow Management
  • Own and maintain the master content calendar, ensuring strategic timing and consistency across campaigns.
  • Coordinate deadlines, approvals, and publishing schedules with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage logistics for studio guests, including scheduling, briefing, hospitality, and post-production follow-up.
  • Ensure a seamless and professional experience for all visiting talent and contributors.
Event Planning
  • Plan and execute both small-scale and large-scale events, including educational seminars, branded experiences, and regional events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-impact events that support content goals.
Performance & Optimization
  • Monitor content performance metrics and audience feedback to refine strategy and improve impact.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging formats to keep Potomac’s content fresh and competitive.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in content development, marketing, or related roles — preferably in finance, investment management, or professional services.
  • Proven project management track record managing lead generation campaigns and nurturing leads through marketing funnels.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills — with a keen understanding of financial terminology and audience segmentation.
  • Experience with email platforms (HubSpot), analytics tools and social media management.
  • Adept at managing external agencies, internal stakeholders, and high-stakes projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on attitude — ready to ideate, execute, and optimize.
Why Potomac?
  • Work directly with the CMO and executive team on high-impact projects.
  • Collaborate with smart, driven professionals in an intellectually rigorous environment.
  • We offer competitive compensations, bonuses, and a benefits package designed to attract top-tier leadership talent.

Potomac is not your typical asset manager. We cut through the industry BS with brutal transparency and an obsession with execution.
