Content Design Specialist

Roeper is currently recruiting for a Content Design Specialist for our Development and Admissions Departments.
Position Summary
The Content Design Specialist works to enhance the Roeper brand and advance its mission by creating engaging, on-brand content, with skills in copywriting, photojournalism, and graphic design. The specialist is responsible for managing social media platforms, attending events to capture multimedia content, and utilizing analytics to ensure effective messaging. With strong design skills, the specialist also creates and produces marketing and advertising materials and school publications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the strategic marketing and communications plan, support branding, and advertising through engaging and timely content
  • Contribute to the school’s branding and marketing presence through creation, design and production of marketing, advertising, and publication materials
  • Communicate proactively with team and school community to identify content to promote activities, accomplishments, and other school news
  • Assist in production of digital weekly newsletter by contributing content
  • Collaborate with school departments and external marketing business partners
  • Design and print marketing materials including advertising, touchpoint communications, annual fund case statements, foundation/endowment reports, and school magazine
  • Utilize graphic design skills to create marketing tools including banners, signs, and school swag, promote school programs including theatre and summer camp
  • Design and create memorable marketing collateral for high profile events including auction, scholarship dinner, and special events
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement of printed materials
  • Design and print publications for school functions, school programs, and extracurricular activities
  • Communicate and promote school events by creating digital and print media
  • Utilize expertise in social media management with emphasis on timeliness and proximity
  • Attend school events and visit classrooms, including evenings and weekends, to capture images, video, and content
  • Create and share relevant content through copywriting, editing, photojournalism, and graphic design
  • Create and publish content on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube; monitor replies and address comments
  • Create and maintain annual social media calendar
  • Use analytics to monitor and track social media content, traffic trends, and return on investment
  • Organize and manage storage and accessibility of digital assets and publications
  • Contribute to the school’s goal to provide a multicultural and culturally relevant program
Skills
  • Proficient use of desktop publishing, office suite, graphic design, and school software solutions
  • Demonstrated experience creating content and managing multiple social media platforms
  • Experience with web and analytics platforms, marketing research, and data analysis
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Flexibility to cover events at each campus including occasional evening and/or weekend events
  • Ability to form collaborative work relationships

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Three to five years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary Consideration:
Contingent on experience, the estimated base annual salary for this role is $55,000. The final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include job-related work experience; industry experience; education; skills; and knowledge.
