Job description

Job Description Summary

Overseesoperationsand leads small, high-performing teams of tax SMEs focused on developing next-generation, AI-enabled tax software solutions. Evaluates projects, sets priorities and workflow to ensure deadlines are met.Thisrolewill manage tax domain experts and analysts working in Tax Planning and Fixed Assets while partnering closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, UX, and Quality Assurance to accelerate innovation, reduce delivery risk, and create market-leading solutions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coaches,mentorsand/or trains team members
- Creates team member goals,monitorsand addresses performance.
- Verifies the accuracy and completeness of all aspects of assignments by the team.
- Designs and develops high quality tax products ona timelybasis.
- Assigns the products and tasks to team membersin order toensure a balanced workload among team members.
-Reviewsall error reports written against team products to ensure accuracy.
- Ensures that team members follow release procedures to enabletimelyrelease of programs.
- Assists tax SMEs, Product Management, Software Engineering, UX and QA in the design of tax program specifications.
- Responsible for program testing and the design and maintenance of test files for assigned products.
-Reviewsall products for accuracy and content.
- Provides technicalassistanceto operations and customers, and implements suggestions and

recommendations aimed at improving products.Assiststax SMEs in the completion of assignedprojects, andassures their accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensures that prompt attention is given to program errors and other problems related to the products assigned to the team.
- Trains and instructs new tax analysts on development methods, and company policies and procedures.
- Ensures that the staffmaintainscompliance with company policies and procedures.
-Assistsin hiring tax personnel and creating and implementing training programs.
- Ensures support metrics and expectations are met by staff
- Other duties as assigned
OTHER DUTIES

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Businessor equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum4-6years of experience in tax software product development.
- CCH Tax software development experience
- Technical knowledge and understanding of federal and state tax laws. Must have extensive personal computer skills.
- Management of people, processes or products, a plus.


Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
- A strong understanding of the Tax Compliance customer and workflow
- Strongplanning/management/problemsolving/leadership ability
- Strong written and verbal communications skills are essential
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work an extended schedule as required to meet objectives
- Strong presentation and communication skills

Compensation:

$54,500.00 - $95,250.00 USD

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
