About the Role

Talarico for Texas is building a people-powered movement to take back power for working Texans. We are seeking a full-time Content Manager to join our communications team and support the ideation and drafting of digital content capable of breaking through an increasingly fragmented and fast-moving new media environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and storyboard digital content capable of translating messaging and policy priorities into compelling, accessible narratives tailored to diverse online audiences
  • Adapt content drafts for the unique needs of every type of new media platform - including non-traditional online spaces capable of reaching audiences who don't frequently engage in politics
  • Identify and execute creative opportunities for real-time, viral content tied to news cycles and cultural moments
  • Collaborate with team members responsible for content production (videographers, editors, etc.) to ensure content drafts are compatible with the desired production outputs

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in political communications, digital media, or a related field
  • Exceptional writing skills and strong editorial judgement
  • Fluent in new media platforms, social media, Reddit, Substack, and others
  • Deep familiarity with the evolving digital media landscape, including video trends and platform-specific best practices
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to balance speed with quality in a rapidly adapting political environment
  • Willingness to work nights and some weekends
