About the Role

The Senior Manager, Content Expansion and Development will execute on a strategic roadmap for expanding the North America Analytical content portfolio and Lexis+ Protege foundational content, with additional focus on growing the content portfolio through author-driven and AI-assisted editorial workflows. You will lead a team of content contributors while serving as an internal champion for AI-assisted content development, to accelerate content production, quality, and currency. You will also support due diligence in acquisitions and content integration efforts as the portfolio grows for the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

AI-Enabled Editorial & Content Development

  • Integrate the agentic content platforms and related AI tools into everyday editorial workflows; preserve and refine human-in-the-loop content oversight to evaluate, refine, and approve AI-generated outputs before publication.

  • Champion internal team adoption of AI-assisted content workflows, adhering to evolving copyright and ethical AI requirements.

  • Develop team expertise in prompt/skills crafting, output evaluation, and AI-supported editorial workflows; provide coaching and guidance to editors and authors on effective AI tool use.

Content Strategy & Market Alignment

  • Identify white-space opportunities for new content and recommend portfolio expansions.

  • Monitor revenue and product usage data; leverage data and insights to propose new content, editorial features, and workflow improvements.

  • Partner with Product Managers, Content Strategy, and Segment teams to ensure portfolio alignment with market needs; monitor customer feedback and analytics to drive improvements.

  • Support Marketing and Sales to enhance product positioning and marketing collateral.

  • Support content acquisition initiatives, including editorial due diligence, integration planning, and onboarding of acquired content and contributor relationships.

  • Actively manage the content expansion budget; monitor and report on spending to ensure financial accountability and alignment with priorities.

  • Manage data and metrics reporting to leadership, ensuring timely execution to spec.

Team & Resource Management

  • Lead and project manage a team of content contractors supporting content expansion across LexisNexis Analytical content portfolio.

  • Develop and implement content quality review criteria and agentic solutions for evaluation.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive content maintenance and resourcing plan; help drive adoption of editorial systems and harmonized practices globally.

Author & Contributor Relationships

  • Enhance author recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies, positioning LexisNexis as the premier authoring ecosystem where legal experts build lasting influence.

  • Set clear expectations for scope, style, quality, and delivery timelines; provide ongoing guidance and feedback to drive consistent, high-value content aligned to portfolio and customer needs.

  • Encourage and support authors' effective adoption of Lexis+ Protege and other AI-assisted content workflows; manage a content creation feedback loop with authors, product and strategy teams.

  • Manage contributor contracts within approved budgets; intervene early to resolve performance issues or revise author mix as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required

  • 4-8 years of experience in legal tech, digital content development, or legal knowledge management

  • Demonstrated AI fluency: confidence working with AI-enabled tools for legal research, document summarization, drafting and editorial review; skilled at crafting prompts and skills, evaluating and refining outputs, and contributing to AI workflow improvement

  • Proven ability to manage third-party relationships, ensuring execution and success at business goals

  • Experience working with large, complex data sets using data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., AI, Tableau, Excel)

  • Strong financial acumen; advanced communication skills to influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization

  • Commercial mindset: ability to interpret market signals, customer feedback, and data to inform content initiatives and drive sustainable growth

  • Adaptable and collaborative; executes on commitments, pivots quickly when needed, and views setbacks as learning opportunities

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home based-Ohio $109,500 - $182,700. U.S. National Base Pay Range: $115,400 - $192,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. Base Pay Range for CO is $115,400 - $192,300. Base Pay Range for IL is $121,200 - $201,900. Base Pay Range for Chicago, IL is $126,900 - $211,500. Base Pay Range for MD is $121,200 - $201,900. Base Pay Range for NY is $126,900 - $211,500. Base Pay Range for New York City is $138,400 - $230,700. Base Pay Range for Rochester, NY is $115,400 - $192,300. Base Pay Range for OH is $109,500 - $182,700.
