Job description

Overview:
Tonal is seeking a detail-oriented Content Integration Specialist to tag, organize, and maintain our growing content library within our internal content management and tagging systems. The ideal candidate is highly accurate, comfortable with high-volume, detailed work, and able to keep a large and increasingly complex catalog consistent and well organized. This role is essential to making Tonal's content usable and discoverable. The metadata this person applies helps ensure that workouts function as intended for members at home while also creating the foundation for future product experiences.
What You Will Do
  • Tag and classify Tonal's movement library with deep metadata specificity, supporting the platform's growing and evolving content needs.
  • Help manage and keep the tagging taxonomy organized as new content types are introduced, ensuring consistency across increasingly complex content types.
  • Manage media assets across post-production and CMS pipelines, maintaining an organized, streamlined, and easily retrievable video/audio library for Post Production and other cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain close, ongoing coordination with the Post Production team to ensure content deliverables meet metadata tagging requirements and trainer user experience standards.
  • Verify that production documents match corresponding workout programming, flagging and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Perform quality control checks on final exports across the Tonal platform and mobile app, ensuring accuracy and consistency before release.
  • Support the building and organization of operational trackers as part of the production process.
  • Administrative tasks and cross-departmental tracking, in coordination with the Content Integration Manager.

Who You Are
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience, plus approximately 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong foundation in content operations, media asset management, metadata, or taxonomy work
  • Experience working in content management systems, digital asset management platforms, or structured media libraries
  • Able to apply detailed metadata accurately and consistently across a high-volume content library while meeting time-sensitive deadlines
  • Comfortable reasoning through classification, tagging, and schema-level decisions, including how content should be categorized and why
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Understanding of the video creation and post-production process; familiarity with video compression and formats is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, and Photoshop is a strong plus.
  • Interest or background in health, fitness, or kinesiology is a plus.
  • Able to follow established processes while exercising good independent judgment to identify inconsistencies, resolve classification questions, and flag issues
  • Adaptable as priorities change, with curiosity about how AI, automation, and new tools can improve team workflows
