Overview

The Sr Specialist, Communications Content and Platforms is responsible for developing and delivering internal communications that support the companyโ€™s vision, values and strategic objectives within the dental and medical healthcare environment. This individual produces high-quality content, owns and administers internal communication channels and platforms, and independently manages communications from intake through distribution. The role helps ensure messaging is clear, cohesive and delivered through the appropriate channels to strengthen team member awareness and engagement. This individual may also support external communications as needed.


Responsibilities



  • Develop clear, engaging content for internal communication channels, including memos, announcements, newsletters, executive communications and intranet content, in alignment with the companyโ€™s voice, style and communications standards.

  • Create basic visual and multimedia content, including graphics for internal digital displays, and coordinate with creative partners when more extensive design support is needed.

  • Own and maintain the departmentโ€™s knowledge articles and organization-wide documents on the intranet, and update intranet pages that support communications initiatives across the organization.

  • Manage incoming communications requests submitted through the departmentโ€™s intake process, including evaluating requests, coordinating next steps and tracking work through completion.

  • Manage the distribution and publication of internal communications across email, intranet, digital signage and other channels to ensure timely, accurate and consistent delivery.

  • Track engagement and performance across internal communication platforms as reporting capabilities are established, and use available findings to inform content and channel recommendations.

  • Partner with IT and other stakeholders on platform enhancements, issue resolution and the rollout of new communication tools and capabilities.

  • Manage communications content and asset libraries to support accessibility, version control, recordkeeping and brand consistency.

  • Collaborate with departments across the organization and serve as a liaison with vendors, creative partners and other stakeholders in support of communications initiatives.

  • Provide occasional support for external communications materials, including social media content, press releases and media advisories, at the direction of the department leader.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications



  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, business or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of relevant experience is required.

  • 6+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, marketing or a related field.

  • Demonstrated mastery of Associated Press style and corporate communications writing and editing standards.

  • Demonstrated experience developing content and managing or administering communication platforms in a professional environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, incorporate direction and feedback, exercise sound judgment and manage multiple priorities.


Preferred



  • Experience in dental, medical or healthcare communications.

  • Experience administering ServiceNow or a similar intranet, knowledge management or employee communications platform.

  • Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.

  • Familiarity with communications analytics, measurement and reporting tools.

  • Comfort administering digital communication platforms and coordinating the resolution of platform-related issues.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ServiceNow, Poppulo, Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, SharePoint and OneDrive.

  • Knowledge of internal and corporate communications best practices, particularly within healthcare or other complex organizations.
