Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Proposal Manager to join our dynamic team. The Proposal Manager will play a crucial role in leading the proposal development process, ensuring the timely submission of high-quality, compliant, and complete proposals that meet client requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams; manage proposal schedules; craft compelling narratives that showcase our company's capabilities, expertise, and success; and contribute to the overall success of our business development efforts. Our team is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to achieving excellence in our work. Roles and Responsibilities
Proposal Leadership:
  • Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, from initial RFP analysis to submission.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts, writers, and contributors to gather necessary information for proposal content.
  • Provides leadership and direction to managers or professional staff.

Proposal Planning and Scheduling:
  • Develop and maintain proposal schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Identify and allocate resources effectively to meet proposal requirements.

Content Development:
  • Write, edit, and review proposal content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to translate complex information into compelling proposals.

Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough reviews to ensure proposals meet the highest quality standards.
  • Implement best practices in proposal development to enhance overall quality and competitiveness.

Engagement with Business Development and Operations:
  • Interact with BD and Operations personnel to clarify requirements and address queries during the proposal development process.
  • Foster positive relationships across teams through professional and effective communication.

Knowledge Management:
  • Contribute to maintaining a repository of proposal content, templates, and reusable materials to streamline future proposal development.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Typically 9+ years of proven experience in proposal management, business development, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in proposal management and/or project management.
  • Experience in a similar industry or with complex technical proposals.
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes.
  • Demonstrated success in winning competitive proposals.
  • Current security clearance.
