Internship Opportunity: Music Intern

Location: Nashville, TN

In-Person Internship Requirement: Applicants must be based in Nashville, TN or the surrounding area, as this role requires in-person attendance.

The Familie is a music and sports agency representing top talent across the entertainment and athletic industries.ย Headquartered in Nashville, The Familie also has offices in Los Angeles, Scottsdale, and San Diego. We offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated student to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of talent management.

Position Overview:

The Music Intern will play a key role in supporting the development, marketing, and daily operations of the music division. Working alongside experienced industry professionals, you'll gain firsthand exposure to artist management, social media strategy, public relations, and the business side of the music industry.

This internship is ideal for students who are passionate about music, culture, and content-and who are looking to build a career in Music Management, Marketing, PR, or a related field.

Please note: this is an unpaid internship, but eligible for class credit.

Responsibilities:ย ย 

  • Assist with talent management tasks, including scheduling, communication, and logistics
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Conduct research on industry trends, emerging talent, and potential partnership opportunities
  • Assist in the coordination of live events, virtual performances, or promotional appearances
  • Assist the division in coordinating PR efforts
  • Support the planning, execution, and strategy of social media efforts for key client brands
  • Assist in creating engaging content for social media platforms
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as organizing files, managing calendars, and handling correspondence

Details:

Duration: September 14 - November 25

Hours: 12-18 hours weekly

Compensation: Unpaid; eligible for academic credit

In-Office Requirement: Interns are expected to be onsite 2-3 days per week

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Interest or experience in the music and entertainment industry
  • Familiar with and passionate about music, culture, and digital content
  • Preference for juniors or seniors
  • Must be enrolled in a university and continue to be enrolled for the duration of the internship
