Job description

At Wizards of the Coast, we connect people around the world through play and imagination. From our genre-defining games like Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons to our growing multiverse, we continue to innovate and build new ways to foster friendship and connection. That's where you come in!
Archetype Entertainment is a new game studio in Austin, Texas led by industry veterans from BioWare and other AAA studios. Archetype is a division of Wizards of the Coast (Hasbro). We are building a development team with world-class talent to create a new science fiction universe for our first multiplatform roleplaying video game.
Our goal is to create the greatest story-driven roleplaying games in the world!
At Archetype, we believe there will always be a place for story-driven roleplaying games that put the player at the center of an epic personal narrative with impactful choices. We are building games that represent the diversity of our audience. We also believe that game studios should empower top developers and challenge them with ambitious projects that are shaped by a strong, clearly communicated creative vision.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop ideas, film, and edit short-form vertical videos weekly for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, and new platforms.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes studio moments, developer stories, gameplay showcases, events, and content reflecting the company's values.
  • Pitch and complete recurring series, trend-based concepts, and reactive social ideas that resonate with gaming audiences.
  • Own the production pipeline end-to-end, from ideation, scripting, filming, editing, captions, sound composition, to final delivery.
  • Be the in-studio set of eyes and hands, ready to capture moments as they happen and turn content around on short timelines.
  • Partner with the social, marketing, and agency teams on publishing, community moments, and campaign beats and live events.
  • Collaborate with developers, artists, writers, and studio leadership to spotlight the people and creative process behind EXODUS.
  • Stay current on platform trends, creator formats, editing styles, and audience behaviors across gaming and entertainment.
  • Occasionally appear on camera or direct on-camera talent when appropriate.
What You'll Bring:
  • 3+ years developing social-first or short-form video, ideally in gaming, entertainment, or media centered around individual content creators (or a portfolio that shows the equivalent).
  • Solid knowledge of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and the gaming community culture.
  • Proven ability to shoot and edit high-quality vertical video quickly and efficiently.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
  • Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to translate complex or in-development game content into compelling social narratives.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for video games, science fiction, and interactive entertainment.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working directly with game developers or entertainment brands.
  • Photography, motion graphics, or livestream production experience.
  • Familiarity with gameplay capture workflows and gaming production pipelines.
