What is a content creator?

A Content Creator is a professional who produces engaging and relevant material for digital platforms, such as blogs, social media, websites, or video channels. Their work can include writing articles, creating videos, designing graphics, or producing podcasts to attract and engage audiences. Content Creators often tailor their material to suit the target audience and platform, using creativity and strategy to achieve marketing or communication goals. They may work independently or as part of a larger marketing or media team.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a content creator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Content Creator, you need strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, often supported by experience in digital media or a related field. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, SEO tools, and basic graphic or video editing software is typically required. These skills are essential for producing engaging, high-quality content that drives audience growth and meets organizational goals.

What are some common challenges content creators face when managing multiple projects or platforms?

Content Creators often juggle several projects and platforms at once, which can make time management and consistency challenging. Balancing the unique requirements of each channel—such as adapting tone, format, and posting frequency—requires strong organizational skills. Additionally, staying up-to-date with trends and algorithms while meeting deadlines can be demanding. Collaborating effectively with designers, marketers, and other team members is key to ensuring cohesive and high-quality output across all platforms.

Job description

About Comfrt

Comfrt is more than just an apparel brand; we are a mental wellness movement. We specialize in creating high-quality, functional products—like our signature Weighted Zip Hoodie—designed to ease stress, calm anxiety, and provide the “feeling of a hug.” Our community is built on authenticity, and our retail spaces are designed to be safe havens for our customers to unplug and find their comfort zone.

The Role

Comfrt is looking for an 100% awesome, capable, and experienced Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to help lead our first retail location at the Mall of America. As the ASM, you are the Store Manager’s right‑hand partner in driving the store’s success. You will oversee the training, development, and performance management of the team while ensuring our viral people‑first online energy is felt by every guest who walks through our doors. You are a culture‑builder, a logistics expert, and a content creator who is comfortable leaning into social media and in‑store activations to drive community engagement.

What You’ll Do Team Development & Performance Coaching
  • Training: Assist the SM in onboarding and educating team members on product science (Deep Pressure Stimulation) and mental wellness advocacy.
  • Recruitment Support: Support the SM in sourcing and interviewing top‑tier talent who embody the Comfrt vibe.
  • Sales Floor Management: Maintain a constant presence to provide real‑time coaching, drive immediate sales results, and ensure the brand “vibe” is upheld during every hour of operation.
Sales, KPIs & P&L Support
  • Drive Results: Own the daily sales goals. Track and coach the team on key metrics: Conversion, Units Per Transaction (UPT), and Average Order Value (AOV).
  • Financial Literacy: Participate in the review of store P&L statements with the SM to understand controllable expenses and profit drivers.
  • KPI Accountability: Implement floor strategies to hit targets and pivot based on real‑time traffic trends.
Workforce Management & Labor Control
  • Schedule Creation: Own the development of the weekly store schedule, ensuring optimal coverage during peak Mall of America traffic hours while maintaining labor budget compliance.
  • Labor Management: Monitor real‑time labor usage daily; make strategic adjustments to the floor based on traffic trends and sales performance to hit profitability targets.
  • Attendance Tracking: Manage team punctuality, time‑off requests, and overall schedule adherence to ensure a seamless “unplugged” experience for our customers.
Visual Merchandising & Inventory Ownership
  • Replenishment Leadership: Own the daily replenishment process. Ensure the floor is always fully stocked and mirrors our “premium sanctuary” aesthetic.
  • Visual Standards: Support with the execution and coaching of visual merchandising and coach the team on visual merchandising directives, ensuring mannequins and displays are commercial and trend‑relevant when Visual Manager is not in the business.
  • Inventory Integrity: Oversee stockroom organization and inventory accuracy. Lead shipment processing (including weighted gear up to 40 lbs) and cycle counts.
Content & Activations
  • Social Content: Partner with the SM to create daily high‑energy content for TikTok/Reels that showcases the MOA team and new product drops.
  • Digital Interaction: Assist in brand‑led social media initiatives and in‑store activations to engage our online and local communities.
  • Activation Support: Assist in the planning and execution of in‑store events and community “wellness drops.”
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of retail experience with 2+ years in a high‑volume management role.
  • Skills: Action‑oriented and results‑driven with a proven ability to motivate others.
  • Leadership: Strong conflict‑resolution, mediation, and team‑building skills.
  • Workforce Tools: Experience with scheduling software and labor management systems.
  • Availability: Full availability, including Black Friday and the holiday season.
Other “Must‑Haves”
  • A passion for mental health and delivering outstanding “People‑First” service.
  • Comfortable being on camera and creating social media content.
  • Knows how to have fun and boost positive vibes in a fast‑paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
  • Participation in the Comfrt Manager Bonus Program.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) program with company match.
  • Generous employee discount on all Comfrt products.
Reasonable Accommodations & Diversity Statement
  • Religious Accommodations: Comfrt provides reasonable accommodations for religious beliefs, observances, and practices, including requests for time off, in accordance with applicable laws.
