OVERVIEW

Love creating content?  Want to get paid to showcase life at St. Thomas?

As an Admissions Content Creator, you'll join a team of six student creators who produce videos, photos and digital content that helps future Tommies picture themselves at St. Thomas.

You'll work alongside experienced recruitment marketing staff and returning student creators on real campaigns, campus events and social media content. Whether you love making TikToks, taking photos, writing stories or creating YouTube videos, there's a place for your creativity here.

We're looking for students who enjoy:

  • Creating videos for Instagram, TikTok or YouTube
  • Photography or visual storytelling
  • Writing or interviewing
  • Graphic design
  • Community engagement
  • Social media trends
  • Analytics and content strategy

What You'll Do

  • Create videos, photos and digital content that showcases the St. Thomas experience.
  • Attend campus events and capture authentic student stories.
  • Interview students, faculty and staff for social media content.
  • Pitch creative ideas during weekly team meetings.
  • Stay on top of social media trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • Help manage social media communities and engage with prospective students.
  • Review basic analytics to learn what content performs best.
  • Represent St. Thomas professionally both on and off camera.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for creative, curious students who enjoy telling stories and want to help future Tommies learn about life at St. Thomas. You don't need to be an expert in everything! We're looking for different strengths, perspectives and a willingness to learn.

Successful candidates will:

  • Enjoy creating digital content through video, photography, writing or another creative medium.
  • Feel comfortable talking with new people and interviewing students, faculty and staff.
  • Have a basic understanding of today's social media platforms and an interest in learning what makes content successful.
  • Be organized, dependable and able to balance projects with academic responsibilities.
  • Work well independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Represent the University of St. Thomas with professionalism and good judgment.
  • Be willing to occasionally appear on camera (not required for every project).
