Job description

Digital Content Creator

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio — In-office only

Salary: $60,000

Gylee Games is looking for a creative, highly motivated Digital Content Creator to produce engaging daily content for an upcoming digital collectible card game.

This is a hands-on production role for someone who loves games, understands internet culture, and can turn gameplay, development updates, team moments, and raw ideas into compelling content. You’ll be responsible for taking content from concept through filming, editing, and delivery—helping us build an audience and an active community around the game.

This position works exclusively from our Cincinnati, Ohio office and is not available as a remote or hybrid role.

What You’ll Do
  • Create and edit original content on a daily basis for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, Discord, and other relevant platforms
  • Capture gameplay footage, developer interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, and community-focused content
  • Turn raw footage into polished short-form videos with strong hooks, pacing, captions, music, sound effects, and platform-appropriate formatting
  • Develop recurring content series that introduce the game’s world, characters, cards, mechanics, and development team
  • Create content that appeals to collectible card game players while remaining accessible and entertaining to a broader gaming audience
  • Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to identify stories, announcements, and memorable moments worth sharing
  • Repurpose longer-form footage into multiple pieces of platform-specific content
  • Write captions, headlines, and short-form copy that match the game’s voice
  • Maintain a reliable content pipeline and organized library of footage, project files, and finished assets
  • Track content performance and use the results to improve future creative decisions
  • Stay current on gaming culture, social trends, platform changes, memes, and emerging content formats
  • Respond quickly to timely opportunities without losing sight of the broader content strategy

What We’re Looking For
  • Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form digital content
  • A portfolio or social media account showing strong video production and editing skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar editing tools
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and other gaming-focused platforms
  • Ability to identify a compelling story or hook and communicate it quickly
  • Comfortable filming both people and gameplay
  • Strong sense of pacing, humor, visual composition, music, and sound
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple pieces of content, and consistently meet daily deadlines
  • Comfortable working with an in-development, unannounced game and maintaining confidentiality
  • Genuine enthusiasm for games and the communities that form around them
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and willing to experiment
  • Able to work in person from our Cincinnati, Ohio office

Nice to Have
  • Experience creating content for a game studio, publisher, entertainment brand, or gaming creator
  • Familiarity with collectible card games such as Magic: The Gathering, Hearthstone, Marvel Snap, Pokémon, or Yu-Gi-Oh!
  • Experience with livestreaming, photography, motion graphics, animation, or graphic design
  • Familiarity with OBS, Unity, Discord, and gameplay capture workflows
  • Experience appearing on camera or directing others on camera
  • An existing understanding of gaming creators, influencers, and online communities

What Success Looks Like

You consistently turn the game’s development into entertaining, recognizable content that gives people a reason to follow along. You help establish a distinct voice for the game, grow awareness across platforms, and create a steady rhythm of content that can expand alongside the community.
