A Content Creator is a professional who produces engaging and relevant material for digital platforms, such as blogs, social media, websites, or video channels. Their work can include writing articles, creating videos, designing graphics, or producing podcasts to attract and engage audiences. Content Creators often tailor their material to suit the target audience and platform, using creativity and strategy to achieve marketing or communication goals. They may work independently or as part of a larger marketing or media team.

Key responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and publish short-form video content for Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.

  • Plan, script, produce, and edit long-form YouTube videos from topic development to final edit.

  • Repurpose longer content into engaging clips optimized for various platforms and track content performance.

Job description

Holladay Ventures is looking for a Social Media Content Creator to join our team, working directly with Evan Holladay and our Sr. Marketing Manager to bring our vision to life through powerful video and social media content. You'll plan, script, shoot, and edit long-form YouTube videos from the ground up, while also repurposing podcast clips and capturing behind-the-scenes moments and thought leadership insights for scroll-stopping short-form content for Reels, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts. Beyond production, you'll help shape content strategy, manage the posting calendar, engage with our community, and track what's working — bringing creative ideas that expand the brand's voice, grow engagement, and reach new audiences.

Holladay Ventures is an award-winning real estate development company who specializes in developing workforce, affordable, and mixed-income housing solutions that are not only intentionally designed but also make a positive difference in the lives of residents and the environment.

What You'll Do

  • Create, edit, and publish short-form video content for Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Plan, script, and produce long-form YouTube videos, including topic development, outlines/scripts, shot lists, and full production through final edit.
  • Repurpose longer content (YouTube videos, podcasts, speeches, interviews) into engaging clips optimized for each platform.
  • Develop fresh, creative hooks, thumbnails, titles, scripts, and editing styles that increase reach, retention, and shareability.
  • Collaborate directly with Evan and the Sr. Marketing Manager to align content with brand voice and messaging.
  • Capture on-the-ground content of Evan at conferences, properties, events, and team activities.
  • Engage proactively with followers, partners, and other creators.
  • Assist in building and maintaining a content calendar to ensure timely and strategic posting.
  • Schedule and manage posts across social channels.
  • Collaborate with Evan and the marketing team on platform strategy.
  • Identify trends and competitor insights to recommend new content formats.
  • Track analytics and optimize based on what's performing best.

What We're Looking For

  • Someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes video content creation.
  • Proven experience creating high-performing short-form video content.
  • Experience planning, scripting, and producing long-form YouTube videos.
  • Strong portfolio with examples of content you've edited, shot, or strategized.
  • Deep knowledge of platform trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • A creative storyteller with a knack for making complex topics simple and engaging. Bonus: Social media management experience (scheduling, community engagement, analytics). Not required — we're happy to teach this — but it's a plus.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a mission-driven brand making a real difference in solving the housing crisis.
  • Get in early as we scale a thought-leadership platform to millions of people.
  • Work closely with a CEO and team that values creativity, growth, and impact.
  • Opportunity for long-term growth as the platform expands into books, events, and media ventures.

How to Apply

  • Send your resume and portfolio (links to work on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts).
  • Submit at least one short-form video and a long-form video you've made that you're proud of in your portfolio.
