Job description

K1 Speed is looking for someone who practically lives on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You know what's trending before everyone else, aren't afraid to look a little ridiculous for the sake of great content, and love being in front of a camera.

This isn't a traditional social media coordinator role. We're looking for the face of our brand. Someone with personality who can create entertaining, relatable content that people actually want to watch and share.

If you've ever watched a trend and immediately thought, "We should do that," you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do

  • Be the on-camera personality for the company's social media channels.
  • Create engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
  • Stay on top of social media trends, memes, sounds, and challenges, and adapt them to fit our brand.
  • Film, edit, and publish content using your phone and editing apps like CapCut or Adobe Premiere.
  • Brainstorm creative content ideas with the marketing team.
  • Visit company locations to capture behind-the-scenes moments, customer reactions, races, and events.
  • Interview customers and employees to create authentic content.
  • Help build our online community by responding to comments and engaging with followers.
  • Monitor content performance and suggest new ideas based on what works.
  • Occasionally assist with influencer collaborations and social media campaigns.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0–2 years of social media or content creation experience.
  • Comfortable—and excited—to be on camera.
  • Confident personality with good communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and current internet culture.
  • Basic video shooting and editing skills.
  • Creative thinker who isn't afraid to try new ideas.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Willing to travel to company locations for content shoots.
  • Valid driver's license.

Bonus Points If You...

  • Already have experience growing a personal or brand social media account.
  • Know how to use CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, or Canva.
  • Have experience filming action sports, automotive, or lifestyle content.
  • Enjoy motorsports, cars, gaming, or entertainment.
  • Have a portfolio or TikTok/Instagram account showcasing content you've created.

The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here

  • You're the friend who always says, "Wait...let's film this."
  • You're constantly sending TikToks to your friends because they're hilarious or a great content idea.
  • You don't mind looking goofy if it makes for a great video.
  • You're energetic, outgoing, and comfortable talking to strangers.
  • You love experimenting with new ideas instead of making the same content over and over.
  • You understand that social media moves fast, and you're excited to keep up with it.
