At Baselane, our mission is to empower landlords with tools and insights to help them save time, increase their returns, and grow their investment portfolios. Traditional financial institutions have been a growth limiter for landlords - we are looking to change that. We are building the future of financial services for the 12+ million landlords and real estate investors who own over 25 million homes in the United States.

We are a rapidly growing banking and financial management platform for individual landlords and real estate investors. Backed by leading FinTech investors, including Matrix Partners, Activant Capital, Collaborative Fund, Conversion Capital, Diagram Ventures, ThomVest, and many FinTech leaders from PayPal, eBay, Google, and more.

About the role

The Content Marketing Specialist sits within the Brand Marketing team and is responsible for managing content production across channels to support acquisition, activation, and retention efforts. This role is extremely collaborative and will work across various teams, including Growth, Product, Design, Sales, and Partnerships.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage several complex projects, and want to play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of our growth journey, then Baselane is the place for you.

What you'll be doing
  • Develop content for target audiences that supports growth initiatives and channel performance, including blogs, web pages, landing pages, market reports, webinars, social media content, paid ads, emails, and more.
  • Manage editorial workflows end-to-end, coordinating with internal teams and external contributors to scale blog production and organic growth.

  • Use customer, product, and performance data insights to inform content decisions, identify opportunities, and continuously improve outputs that drive qualified leads and conversions.

  • Ensure content consistently reflects Baselane's customer voice, product positioning, and brand quality standards across all channels and touchpoints.

  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate and improve content production workflows across research, drafting, editing, and optimization.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Growth, Product, Design, Sales, and Partnerships teams to ensure content is accurate, strategically aligned, and delivered on time.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings to inform content development.

Please note that this is a hybrid role that will require at least 2 days a week in our downtown Toronto office, a few blocks from Union Station.

Who you are
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in content marketing, ideally in a tech or B2B environment.

  • Proven track record in creating high-quality content across channels that supports acquisition, activation, and retention across the customer journey.

  • Skilled at developing customer-focused content that clearly communicates product value, solutions, and differentiated positioning.

  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with experience working alongside Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.

  • Analytical thinker who uses data to inform strategy, identify emerging topics, and produce content to drive business outcomes.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high standards for quality and accuracy.

  • Highly organized project manager capable of prioritizing high-impact work and operating independently.

  • Proficient with CMS (WordPress, Webflow), AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grammarly), and project management tools (HubSpot, Notion, Asana), with a working knowledge of SEO platforms and best practices.

Benefits & perks
  • Competitive compensation

  • Equity - Ownership in what we are building!

  • High-quality Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance

  • Life Insurance and Disability Coverage

  • Generous time off

  • Flexible working hours and location
