Overview
The SEO Account Associate Director provides management and leadership to a team of experienced SEO account, content, and technical specialists to ensure best-in-class strategy, communication, execution, and implementation. SEO Account Associate Directors oversee books of business at either the client-wide scale or multi-brand business unit level, aligning closely with partner teams and broader leadership to establish client-specific goals. The goal for this role is to deeply understand the needs of the client, target audiences, and internal teams to establish structure and roadmaps to improve performance and foster team growth.
Responsibilities
  • Point of escalation across assigned brands, creatively problem-solving to address client needs, questions, and site performance challenges with dependable solutions
  • Build trusting relationships with client, partner agency, and internal team counterparts, viewed as strategic SEO expert
  • Improve client understanding of SEO capability, value, process, dependencies, and obstacles to success by educating on SEO fundamentals, the channel's role in the marketing mix, and how it contributes to brand goals
  • Demonstrate proactivity, take initiative, ownership, and accountability for the team's work
  • Establish areas of focus, identify tactical knowledge gaps and create resources to drive efficiency of workflow and elevate deliverable quality
  • Foster a culture of transparency, comradery and accomplishment within their team
  • Monitor performance across key accounts and sites with ongoing reviews, drive adoption of tactical best-practice optimization, see opportunities to innovate
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration by working with team members to craft holistic plans, optimizations, and reports
  • Contribute to business scoping, deliverable tracking, resource management, and other financial and operational business aspects
  • Lead annual reviews, hold career-centric 1:1s and Catch-Ups with Supervisors, supporting dialogue with Associates and Sr. Associates
  • Lead cross-agency collaboration and establish workflow processes with partner agencies and vendors on behalf of clients
  • Amplify impact through proactive case study and standard methodology documentation, actively contribute to SEO team goals

Knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO content and technical ranking signals and factors
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO content and technical standard processes for optimization
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO performance monitoring tools (GA4, Adobe, GSC, rank tracking tools)
  • In-depth knowledge of media categories (planning, Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic)
  • Ongoing awareness and understanding of search industry and landscape, trends, search engine result page and algorithm updates
  • Strong team leadership and management experience with advanced organizational skills
  • Proficient project management skills, time management skills, and experience with project delegation
  • Ability to problem solve and provide alternative solutions
  • Experienced in finding new ways to evolve strategic SEO approach and processes

Qualifications
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time, demonstrating personal organization and meeting deadlines while
  • maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to take and/or set initial direction, proactively provide proposed solutions and status updates
  • Enterprise client management and account planning experience
  • Experience creating processes and efficiencies within a team or organization

  • Adherence to agency procedures (timesheets, required trainings, 360 feedback, etc.)
  • Experience managing a team of 4+ individuals
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with 5+ years of direct SEO or comparable experience
  • Healthcare industry knowledge a plus

Compensation Range: USD $97,375.00 - USD $139,965.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
