Position Overview

The Content Creator is responsible for producing engaging, high-quality content that showcases Layton Sports Cards and Layton Gaming across digital platforms. This role focuses on creating short-form and long-form video content, social media posts, and promotional assets that highlight live breaks, products, events, and the overall brand experience.

The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, and comfortable on camera, with a strong understanding of social media trends, sports, gaming, and collectible culture. This individual plays a key role in growing brand awareness, driving engagement, and supporting marketing and sales initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & Execution
  • Create short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts

  • Assist in producing long-form content for YouTube and other platforms as needed

  • Capture in-store content including live breaks, product showcases, events, and customer interactions

  • Develop creative concepts that align with current trends and brand messaging

On-Camera Presence & Storytelling
  • Serve as on-camera talent when needed for videos, promotions, and social content

  • Communicate product features, releases, and hobby insights in an engaging and relatable way

  • Help bring personality and authenticity to the Layton brand across all content

Collaboration & Brand Alignment
  • Work closely with the Social Media Coordinator, Video Editor, and Marketing team

  • Align content with campaign goals, promotions, and product launches

  • Ensure all content reflects brand standards, tone, and messaging

Content Planning & Trend Awareness
  • Stay current on social media trends, viral formats, and platform updates

  • Contribute ideas for content calendars, campaigns, and creative direction

  • Identify opportunities to capitalize on sports moments, gaming releases, and hobby trends

Operational Support
  • Assist with organizing and managing content assets

  • Support live-stream teams with behind-the-scenes or promotional content

  • Participate in events, trade nights, and special activations for content capture

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and short-form video trends

  • Comfortable being on camera and engaging with an audience

  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate original content ideas

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, content-driven environment
