Electrical Engineer - Satellite Power Systems (2-5 years of experience)
Location: Cape Canaveral, FL

Pay rate: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
Employer: ACARA Solutions (onsite with our client)

Key Responsibilities
Embedded design experience, to include microcontrollers, power supplies, mid-level circuit design.
  • Satellite Bus Development: Prepare and manage subsystem architecture and interfaces for a new satellite bus system.

  • Requirements & Documentation: Generate requirements, specifications, ICDs, analyses, and test plans. Document results in technical reports and presentations, and ensure accuracy across drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.

  • Systems Engineering: Support mission, ground, and space vehicle systems engineering activities including requirements flow-down, tracking, verification, and interface control.

  • Integration & Testing: Support integration, testing, and operational readiness of spacecraft and payloads. Oversee spacecraft testing, review test results, and ensure subsystem compliance with requirements.

  • Power Systems: Develop and maintain system power budgets, validation and verification plans, and test plans for electrical components and assemblies.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate with systems, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and program management teams to ensure design integrity.

  • Customer Interaction: Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to peers, management, and customers.

  • Quality & Culture: Adhere to Quality Management Systems standards and foster a respectful, collaborative team environment.

  • Experience with satellite or spacecraft electrical power systems (EPS) design and analysis.

  • Strong background in requirements generation, validation/verification, and testing of aerospace electrical systems.

  • Familiarity with spacecraft integration, testing, and power budget management.

  • Proven ability to document and present complex engineering results clearly.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a cross-functional engineering environment.
