COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Cool Creations is a fruit and vegetables production company. They offer sliced and diced options and are available in myriad container sizes. Cool Creations is a sister company inside C&C Produce. Which has operated the Midwest's Largest Produce Warehouse in North Kansas City since 1992. We deliver fresh produce to schools, restaurants, grocery stores, distribution centers, and healthcare facilities.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the daily operation of our facility by completing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and performing facility repairs. This role plays a key part in ensuring all machinery, systems, and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on all facility equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation issues.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning equipment, parts, and components as needed.
  • Conduct electrical system testing, including continuity and wiring inspections.
  • Complete general facility repairs including carpentry, plumbing, welding, fabrication (metal/plastic), and basic construction work.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment as part of daily pre-operation and shutdown procedures.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders to complete maintenance tasks correctly.
  • Perform daily pre-operational equipment checks and document findings.
  • Maintainaccuratemaintenance and repair logs.
  • Follow all C&C Produce safety guidelines, OSHA standards, and facility policies.
  • Support emergency maintenance during unplanned equipment failure or facility issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a warehouse, food distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems, hydraulics, electrical components, and automation.
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and documentation.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbsand perform physical activity including standing, bending, climbing, and kneeling.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical certification in HVAC, Building Maintenance Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
