Job description

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Container Repair Welder at our site in Knoxville, TN. We are searching for an experienced welder and fabricator! In this position you will be performing repairs on metal containers as well as doing container washing, forklift operating and organizing the storage yard.
This is a Monday to Friday day shift position. Schedule is from 7AM-3:30PM.
Pay: $22.25+/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities include:
  • Wire Feed and some ARC welding
  • Metal container repair and fabrication
  • Some container washing
  • Forklift work
  • Keeping container storage yard organized and clean
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • MIG welding experience and/or plasma cutting experience preferred.
  • Capable of performing repairs in an efficient, effective and timely manner.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, measure and document in writing.
  • Sufficient strength for handling large parts and tools.
  • Be able to bend, crouch, kneel, stoop and work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using a forklift a plus.
  • Valid driver's license for use of company vehicle from time to time.
  • Occasionally work outdoors in all weather conditions.
