Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic III or IV to support a highly automated manufacturing operation in Mason. This role is critical to maintaining equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and supporting upcoming equipment and product changeovers.

This is a hands‑on position for someone who takes ownership of the equipment they work on, learns quickly in an on‑the‑job training environment, and is comfortable working independently across shifts with limited direct supervision.

What You’ll Do
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing equipment, with a strong focus on industrial electrical systems
  • Perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance, including physically demanding repairs
  • Restore equipment safely and efficiently during breakdowns, prioritizing safety and production impact
  • Learn new and existing equipment quickly, especially during upcoming product and equipment transitions
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce repeat failures and improve reliability
  • Work independently and responsibly across shifts, managing priorities without constant supervision
  • Communicate effectively with production and other maintenance team members
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety practices
  • Treat equipment, downtime, and materials as if they were your own
What We’re Looking ForRequired
  • Strong experience with industrial electrical systems (motors, controls, sensors, automated equipment)
  • Hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • Willingness and ability to perform both electrical and mechanical work
  • Proven ability to learn equipment through on‑the‑job training
  • Self‑starter mindset with strong accountability and pride in workmanship
  • Commitment to working safely at all times
Preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting automated or highly mechanized manufacturing equipment
  • Background in heavy industrial or automotive‑style environments
  • Experience supporting equipment startups, new installations, or major changeovers
  • Technical degree or formal electrical training (not required, experience considered)
