Are you someone who takes pride in a clean, organized workspace and enjoys hands-on work that keeps operations running smoothly? We're looking for a dependable, safety-minded team player to help maintain our container yard and support our mission of delivering outstanding service to our customers.
As a Container Yard Technician, you will play a key role in keeping our yard organized, repairing and maintaining containers, and contributing to a safe, well-functioning work environment. If you value teamwork, take initiative, and want to be part of a company that treats its people like family, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
What You'll Do
Safety First
  • Follow our Plan to Zero (PTZ) commitment-striving for zero accidents.
  • Participate in monthly safety and DOT training discussions.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions to the Site Manager.
  • Use all required PPE and follow chemical-handling guidelines from the SDS Manual.
  • Understand all safety steps for cart cleaning and follow proper protocols during any incident.

Cart & Yard Maintenance
  • Inspect and separate dirty, repairable, and scrap containers.
  • Repair all carts deemed repairable.
  • Clean dirty and repaired carts following established procedures.
  • Process scrap carts, including salvaging parts and recording serial numbers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area and yard.

Support the Team
  • Use the Rehrig Management System to stay aligned on responsibilities and tasks.
  • Pitch in to help teammates and share best practices.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment where everyone succeeds together.

What You Bring
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience (preferred).
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
