Job description

National Material Processing (NMP) was formed in 1964 and is considered a leader in metals processing and supply-chain management solutions. NMP supports prominent industrial and consumer product manufacturers across a wide variety of industries.

Our steel processing facilities are growing fast, and we are excited to be adding to our production teams!

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient movement and storage of steel in the warehouse
  • Transport material in the plant as needed
  • Load and unload all trucks and equipment
  • Visually inspect coils to ensure customer specifications are met
  • Comply with all plant safety rules and guidelines
  • Utilize overhead crane and forklifts to move materials.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is necessary
  • 1-3 years in manufacturing industry is preferred. If applicants do not have manufacturing experience, on-the-job training will be offered.
  • Previous machine operation, material handling, production or other warehouse related experience is mandatory.
  • Basic math, measurement, computer skills, and ability to follow directions.
  • NMP employees must be able to repeatedly lift up to 10lbs and occasionally lift up to 30lbs as needed.
