The Director, Consumer Products Insights & Analytics leads a diverse team responsible for delivering consumer insights across Disney's licensing business and Disney Store. This leader will champion data-driven, consumer-centric thinking and partner closely with leaders across DCP to uncover opportunities that enhance consumer and guest experience, optimize business performance, and inform long-term growth strategies.

This role is ideal for an experienced insight and analytics leader who excels at synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable stories and inspiring teams to innovate and grow.

This team is part of the broader centralized marketing insights function that includes; Corporate brand, franchise and strategic insights, DX Marketing Insights team, Studio research, Disney+ insights, and Digital Analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Shape and drive a unified insights and analytics vision that elevates consumer understanding and informs strategy across Disney Experiences.

  • Champion best-in-class research, analytics, and measurement methodologies to meet evolving business needs.

  • Build our reputation as a trusted, innovative thought partner known for curiosity, objectivity, technical excellence, and actionable storytelling.

Consumer Insights & Research

  • Lead primary consumer and guest research that informs targeting, experience design, go-to-market strategies, product decisions, and creative development.

  • Oversee design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research initiatives, ensuring rigor and alignment with business questions.

  • Translate research findings into compelling, actionable insights that influence leaders and shape decision-making.

  • Advocate for the consumer and guest perspective as a central input into strategy and planning.

Analytics & Measurement

  • Integrate multiple data sources into cohesive insights that reveal drivers of behavior and business outcomes.

  • Deliver adhoc analysis and deep dives to support business units, product teams, and senior leadership.

  • Ensure analytics output moves beyond reporting to uncover root causes and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of research, analytics, and measurement professionals.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning.

  • Manage talent development, succession planning, and team structure to support future growth and organizational needs.

Cross-Functional Influence & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage external research and analytics partners to ensure high-quality output and optimal use of resources.

  • Balance internal capabilities with external expertise to deliver best-in-class solutions efficiently.

  • Oversee budgets, prioritize investments, and ensure maximum value across multiple projects and competing priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in insights, analytics, or a related function.

  • Proven success developing and executing a consumer-centric, data-driven vision that influences decision-making.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead research and analytics teams and integrate diverse data sources into cohesive insights.

  • Experience with Consumer Products, consumer research, and/or marketing/sales performance measurement.

  • Knowledge of consumer research methods, analytical tools, measurement approaches, and industry trends (including GenAI).

  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and influence senior leaders.

  • Strong stakeholder and relationship-building skills; effective at navigating cross-functional environments.

  • Experience shaping product, experience, or communications development.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

The hiring range for this position in Celebration, FL is $176,700 to $236,900 per year and in Burbank, CA is $185,500 to $248,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
