Position Summary
St. Thomas University seeks highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach doctoral-level quantitative research courses. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction, mentor doctoral students, and facilitate the development of quantitative research knowledge and statistical analysis skills. Faculty members are expected to foster student success while maintaining academic excellence consistent with the University's mission and values. Essential Responsibilities
  • Teach doctoral-level quantitative research and statistics courses in online, hybrid, or face-to-face formats.
  • Facilitate student learning using evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Provide timely, constructive, and meaningful feedback on assignments.
  • Maintain regular communication with students through the University's learning management system.
  • Hold virtual office hours and provide academic support as needed.
  • Evaluate student performance in accordance with university grading policies.
  • Submit grades by established deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and course documentation.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure course quality and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience teaching in online learning environments using learning management systems such as Canvas.

  • Three or more years of graduate-level teaching experience.

  • Record of scholarly publications
  • Experience mentoring doctoral students through the dissertation process.
