Job Description:
  • Under general direction, candidates will deliver user-centered design solutions that support the creation of best-in-class consumer digital sales experiences that offer quick access to insurance quotes, while building customer purchase confidence.
  • Candidates will experience a degree of autonomy as candidates support individual product team(s), while also being a part of a mature UX team collaborating with product designers and user researchers.
  • In this role candidates will work with business, engineering, and product owners to understand the business vision and objectives, and collaborate daily to deliver design solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Candidates will also benefit from the support of client's broader UX community, where candidates can exchange ideas and learn from other design, content, and research practitioners.

In this role • Candidates will:
  • Work in an agile environment.
  • Candidates will attend daily agile ceremonies with your aligned teams, partnering closely with product owners, product designers, and engineers, as well as content designers, marketers, analysts, and researchers.
  • Dig deep into user problems.
  • Candidates will be tasked with understanding complex product requirements and untangling interaction design problems to find the best solutions to help users complete their tasks.
  • Continuously seek and integrate user feedback.
  • Candidates will help identify user research needs and participate in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing to evaluate UX effectiveness and determine where and how to optimize the experience.
  • Coordinate across multiple projects and workstreams.
  • Candidates will learn a complex product ecosystem and collaborate with other teams to ensure a seamless experience for the user.

What is the most important skillset:
  • Experience designing customer facing sales experiences.
  • Insurance, financial services or healthcare experience a large plus.
  • Experience with Figma is required - comfort with advanced features like auto-layout and components.
  • Must be collaborative, strong communication skills, and be able to work in a cross functional environment.

Any immediate disqualifiers:
  • No portfolio link and No Figma experience..

Can you tell me what the person's day to day will be like:
  • The designer will support two agile development squads focused on optimizing client's digital customer facing sales experiences.
  • The role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, the Design team, and Research partners to create customer centric designs that meet business and customer needs.
