About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer — Consumer Growth, you'll play a critical role in shaping the marketplace experience for Bidbus’s consumer audience. Your mission: create intuitive and habit-forming design solutions that drive engagement, retention, and growth for individuals selling cars on our platform. You'll design and iterate on features, flows, and experiences that make car-selling not only more accessible, but also delightful and compelling.

You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to reimagine the car-selling journey—making it rewarding and seamless. You’ll leverage behavioral insights, conduct user research, and use experimentation to translate complex marketplace mechanics into simple, engaging interfaces that foster trust and drive participation.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and optimize consumer onboarding flows to create seamless first-time experiences.
  • Drive funnel and conversion optimization through iterative design and testing.
  • Ideate and implement referral and viral growth features to accelerate user acquisition.
  • Create reactivation and lifecycle experiences that improve user retention and engagement.
  • Lead growth experiments and design new features to unlock further user and marketplace growth.
  • Apply expertise in consumer UX and interaction design to ensure intuitive, compelling interfaces.
  • Craft mobile-first product experiences that delight users on every device.
  • Elevate consumer brand and visual quality across all touchpoints.
  • Contribute to and help evolve Bidbus’s design system for scalability and consistency.
  • Demonstrate strong consumer product taste to deliver delightful and habit-forming experiences.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong experience in consumer product design, with a demonstrated ability to deliver impactful user experiences
  • Exceptional visual and interaction design taste
  • Deep understanding of onboarding, conversion, and growth mechanics in consumer products
  • Ability to simplify complex user flows and create intuitive interfaces
  • Data-driven mindset and comfort designing through experimentation and iteration
  • Strong product thinking that goes beyond UI execution
  • Experience designing for mobile-first consumer products
  • Fast-moving, highly collaborative, and comfortable working with ambiguity in a startup environment
  • Experience in marketplace, fintech, commerce, or other transaction-heavy consumer platforms is a plus
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Design, with a focus on growth, marketplace, or consumer platforms.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing process, interaction design, and shipped products impacting key metrics.
  • Experience designing for web and mobile applications at scale.
  • Strong understanding of experimentation, user behavior, engagement loops, and product-led growth principles.
  • Comfort with user research, rapid iteration, and data-driven decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ambiguity from discovery all the way through product launch and iteration.
  • Skilled in Figma and modern design tools, plus familiarity collaborating in startup environments.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing growth, onboarding, engagement, or marketplace systems.
  • Familiarity with consumer, e-commerce, or transaction-driven products.
  • Exposure to automotive, logistics, or auction marketplaces a plus.
  • Experience with 0-1 feature development and scaling products across multiple markets.
  • Previous experience in fast-paced startups.
