About the Job
As the Senior Manager of Advisor Insights, you will bring financial advisor understanding and strategic foresight to life to inspire profitable growth. You will drive the learning agenda across cross-functional teams, developing forward-looking strategies grounded in field realities and emerging trends.
This is your opportunity to help build a new, centralized enterprise insight capability. You will advocate for financial advisors, anticipating their needs while bridging these findings with consumer realities. Beyond driving field research, you will act as a compelling team leader with natural servant leadership abilities, passionate about mentoring and shaping our analytical talent.
You will design impactful reporting frameworks by synthesizing custom field research, advisor sentiment, and client NPS where applicable. As a master storyteller, you will help weave disparate field, consumer, and client data into meaningful insights that bring extreme clarity to the organization and empower stakeholders to take insight-led action.
By helping to integrate insights across the advisor, client, and consumer journeys, you will unify field experience assessment scores and holistic feedback into a cohesive lifecycle view. This approach allows you to proactively prescribe targeted solutions that elevate the advisor experience and drive enterprise success.
Finally, you will support our steady enterprise approach to AI adoption, leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance field research capabilities and keep the team at the cutting edge of data synthesis.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the Field learning agenda working closely with Field, Journey, Marketing, Product and Digital teams to develop products, communications and strategies that are grounded in deep financial advisor understanding.
  • As part of the Enterprise Insights team, be the go-to source for ad-hoc analysis and actionable research. Be an advocate for the field, client and consumer in internal meetings and a driver of insight-led actions across the enterprise.
  • Deliver reports, insights and implications to assigned business partners to inform decisions that improve the field / consumer / client experience.
  • Perform data analysis and interpretation, using basic statistical techniques (Frequency distributions, Descriptive statistics, T-tests; Cross-tabs, Correlations, Text analytics) to reveal new findings and insights to marketing and other business partners.
  • Determine requisite data elements and work with technical resources to design integrated internal and syndicated datasets to provide required analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the team's analytical capabilities by evaluating current processes, new trends, working with business partners, and taking initiative to apply new and improved research best practices.
  • Proactively share relevant information and insights with the internal teams.
  • Interpret and synthesize multi-source data into insights that lead to actionable strategies and plans for the brand.

What You'll Bring To The Role
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience/knowledge desired in research and data analysis, application of statistical research techniques. B2C category experience strongly preferred.
  • Seasoned expert in advanced features of a variety of programs which may include Excel, Access, SQL, SAS, SPSS, Tableau and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience and knowledge of the following advanced analytic techniques (Regression, Factor analysis, Cluster analysis highly preferred).
  • Experience should include budget management, and vendor management.
  • Strong technical market research skills that include; quantitative, qualitative, primary, and secondary.
  • Degree in business, marketing, social sciences, statistics or related field. Ideally from top-tier school.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Financial Services Experience Not Required; but must have, or acquire soon after, intimate knowledge of NM field, markets, clients and products.
  • Able to be both strategic and tactical, with strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills. Ability to unite key colleagues and cross-functional partners by gaining trust through demonstrating business expertise.
  • Consistently displays professional courage to research design, analysis and interpretation to deliver credible work product free of bias.
  • Acts in the best interest of consumer / clients and the company.
  • Embraces new research tools and AI capabilities as they become available and approved.
  • MBA or Master's Degree strongly preferred

  • Research Communication: Synthesizes and communicates research findings and insights in compelling ways to stakeholders to influence potential design and decision making. Translates data into compelling narratives to demonstrate business insights and opportunities and influence business decisions.
  • Research Design: Leverages methods such as surveys, contextual inquiries, card sorting, and focus group to identify problems/risks and devises plans to address concerns raised via research.
