Fellowes Mobile currently operates two days in office; Tuesdays and one other weekday. A third day in office may be required due to deadlines and projects.
Role Summary
Under the direction of the Global Marketing Manager, the Associate Market Manager, is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of customer, brand, category and product strategies. The AMM will also provide support in achieving budgeted EBITDA goals.
In This Role, You Will...
  • Manage multiple customer-related projects by coordinating a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to execute on time, on quality, and on budget.
  • Pull and analyze point of sales data from NPD Group in order to understand category and product trends to help inform the new product development process and customer presentations.
  • Develop high quality customer presentations with strong articulation of ideas that address customer and consumer needs and leverage data to support fact-based selling and product sell-in strategies. Ensure that presentations are clear, compelling, and error-free.
  • Help develop initiatives to win new business at strategic customers through product selection, assortment strategies, and promotional ideas as well as articulation of the Fellowes Mobile unique selling proposition.
  • Help interpret and glean customer/consumer insight to support the development and implementation of category strategies that grow profit and volume, including category direction, new product development, and product entries into new segments, pricing, and merchandizing and distribution strategies. Identify and implement cost/resource savings.
  • Support strategy by working with internal graphic designers and external agencies to ensure all marketing elements enhance and leverage the brand equity with all constituents.
  • Execute specific administrative tasks focused on product set up through internal and external processes and systems. Deliver on time results for projects involving packaging and communications through the execution and management of all details from start to finish.
  • Maintain and constantly update competitive analysis of key competitors' activities and their impact on the total business. Be aware of emerging technologies.
  • Participate and, where appropriate, lead cross-functional teams in order to meet customer and category strategies. Demonstrate strong leadership and persuasion skills in all aspects of managing the customer, category, and team members. Promote teamwork. Show initiative. Act independently to successfully manage customer and category issues to a timely close.
  • Track and analyze volume, profit, and returns of new products and report with observations and appropriate plans to the Global Marketing Manager.
  • Work with Sales to analyze promotion and product efficiencies and effectiveness that lead to the development and execution of sales priorities for category. Meet regularly to understand emerging marketplace trends and develop programs to address new trends. Support sales team to achieve price, placement, and promotional objectives.
  • Assist the Global Marketing Manager in managing new device launches and related assortment planning.

What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with category data and insights tools such as NPD Group, IRI, Nielsen, or similar platforms.
  • Preferred: 3-4 years of marketing, brand, channel, or consumer products experience, including at least 2 years supporting consumer products through the product development process.
  • Strong user of AI and AI tools to improve efficiency, automate tasks, and enhance ways of working.
  • Strong category management mindset with the ability to translate data, consumer insights, and market trends into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience working with innovation, product development, and cross-functional project teams to evaluate opportunities that support the company, consumer, and customer.
  • Strong project management orientation with the ability to manage details, timelines, priorities, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with or without established processes.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to assess project priorities, trade-offs, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and motivate cross-functional partners.

The hiring range for this position in in Schaumburg is $70,000 - $80,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
