What You'll Do
As a Brand Manager, you will lead and oversee the day-to-day management of brand activities to grow and expand the Munchkin brand. You will play a critical role in developing marketing strategies that align with company goals, leveraging the 4 P's of marketing-Product, Pricing, Promotion, and Sales & Distribution-to drive market share and achieve financial objectives. You will also serve as the Category Captain for a key product line, providing expertise on the competitive landscape, consumer insights, and trends to shape strategic decisions.
How you will contribute:
Product Innovation
  • Serve as the Category Captain and internal expert for a key product line, staying up-to-date on competitive trends, consumer insights, and category dynamics to inform strategic decisions
  • Lead new product launches from concept to execution, including defining pricing, positioning, packaging, and product strategy for white space categories with high-growth potential
  • Make strategic growth recommendations through analyzing related categories and identifying opportunities for line extensions, gap filling, and category leadership
  • Monitor category performance across eCommerce and brick-and-mortar retailers, identifying opportunities to improve shelf performance, drive reviews, and enhance consumer engagement

Pricing Strategy
  • Develop and recommend pricing strategies to optimize long-term market share and profitability while maintaining brand value
  • Monitor pricing trends, analyze promotional pricing effectiveness, and evaluate competitive activity to ensure sustainability and competitive advantage
  • Collaborate with finance and sales teams to align pricing strategies with financial and retailer objectives

Go-to-Market Strategy
  • Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns, including advertising, media planning, and digital marketing. Collaborate with social media team to drive engagement
  • Collaborate with DTC teams to develop web-exclusive promotions and optimize eCommerce performance, leveraging digital tools and data insights to refine marketing strategies
  • Partner with Brand Design to execute creative assets that ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across all platforms and campaigns

Sales & Distribution Support:
  • Work closely with sales teams to support retail strategy, in-store/online merchandising, and execution of promotional activities
  • Provide tools and category insights for retail buyers, including sales presentations, competitive analysis, and support for trade marketing initiatives
  • Partner with operations to ensure smooth distribution and availability of products across all channels, driving sales and customer satisfaction

Consumer Insights
  • Collaborate closely with Consumer Insights to leverage data and market research to guide decisions across product development, pricing, and promotional strategies

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with key stakeholders across Product Design, Brand Design, Operations, Finance, and Sales to ensure alignment and seamless execution of brand strategies
  • Influence and persuade key internal stakeholders, including executives and cross-functional partners, to support business strategies and initiatives

General Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, including contract initiation, strategic planning, and accountability for results
  • Manage and measure the execution of marketing and promotional plans to align with brand and financial objectives
  • Additional duties as assigned

You will have:
  • 5 plus years of prior marketing brand management experience within CPG
  • BA degree required, MBA degree highly preferred
  • Experience managing teams and leading cross-functional teams
  • Product launch experience
  • Strong presentation skills for senior management and retailer presentations
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills
