At Hypothesis, we blend insights, design, and strategy to help important brands do amazing things. We work with the world's most dynamic, admired, and disruptive companies to answer their high-stakes questions that shape the future. We are a nimble, forward-leaning, agency with a culture that empowers amazing people to do their best work.
We are a collection of researchers, strategists, designers, and marketers who are also musicians, travelers, astrophysicists, rock climbers, and gamers-with two big things in common: we love a good challenge, and we believe our ideas get better when we work together.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to lead complex, high-impact research that helps some of the world's most exciting brands make smarter decisions and build what's next. You'll take ownership of quantitative and qualitative engagements from kickoff through final delivery-contributing to the research approach, guiding execution, uncovering the story behind the data, and helping to turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
You'll draw on your experience across a variety of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, while working across a diverse range of industries and business challenges. Along the way, you'll mentor team members, helping them strengthen their skills, grow their confidence, and produce the outstanding work we are known for. Your impact will extend beyond individual projects: you'll deepen client relationships, elevate the quality of our work, strengthen our team, and contribute to the continued growth of Hypothesis.
What You Will Do
Client Impact
  • Lead research engagements through every stage of the project lifecycle, creating clarity, momentum, and alignment from kickoff to final delivery
  • Build client confidence through strong project ownership, proactive communication, and a clear understanding of their business needs
  • Translate high-stakes business questions into thoughtful quantitative and qualitative research approaches
  • Develop high-quality, client-ready screeners, questionnaires, discussion guides, and other research materials
  • Guide teams, manage timelines, anticipate potential challenges, and identify solutions that keep the work moving forward
  • Oversee quality assurance across survey programs, research materials, data tables, and reports to ensure every deliverable meets our standards
  • Lead the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, connecting findings to uncover the larger story and identify meaningful implications
  • Turn complex information into compelling stories, clear recommendations, and highly-designed reports that inspire action
  • Help bring the work to life by participating in final client presentations and discussions

Business Impact
  • Strengthen client relationships by consistently delivering high-quality thinking, insights, and experience
  • Contribute to business growth by helping turn exceptional project work into lasting client trust and future opportunities
  • Raise the bar for research quality, analytical thinking, and project delivery across the organization
  • Champion the Hypothesis Way and actively contribute to the collaborative, curious, and forward-thinking culture that makes our work possible

Team Impact
  • Mentor analysts through hands-on collaboration; talking through the thinking behind key decisions
  • Model strong project ownership, collaboration, communication, and attention to detail
  • Share tools, examples, and best practices that help analysts work more effectively and produce consistently high-quality work

What You Bring
  • 3-5 years of consumer insights experience, gained at a market research agency
  • Broad experience across quantitative and qualitative methodologies, with the ability to confidently lead research engagements from initial design through final delivery
  • Highly desired experience in brand health and brand tracking, supported by a strong understanding of research methodology, project execution, team leadership, and client relationships
  • Experience tackling business challenges across a variety of industries, such as automotive, technology, and entertainment
  • A strong sense of ownership and the confidence to direct project teams, manage competing priorities and timelines, anticipate potential challenges, and develop smart solutions
  • Intellectual curiosity, a willingness to keep learning, and genuine interest in understanding our clients, their businesses, and the world around them
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working alongside researchers, strategists, designers, and clients to make great ideas even better
  • A passion for turning complex data and human insights into clear, compelling stories that inspire action

What We Offer:
We are premium. We embrace individuality. We are brave. We support each other. We are all empowered.
We're happy when our employees are happy and we understand that everyone needs a creative and positive work environment, time to themselves to recharge, time with family, or just a night to binge on Netflix. To that aim, we've put together the kind of generous benefits package you'd expect with some extras you might not expect.
  • Unlimited PTO
  • $80,000-90,000 annually
  • Flexible work with optional office locations in Los Angeles and Seattle.
  • 9 Paid Holidays

  • 401K + 4% company match
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Annual Performance Reviews
  • 12 weeks paid Parental Leave
  • Annual stipend for the first two years of new family member's day care.
  • Monthly Internet Stipend
