Job description

The Insights Senior Manager & Pan-Franchise Projects Coordinator, US Oncology Lung Franchise generates actionable insights that help shape brand strategy and tactics based on a combination of primary research and secondary data across customer segments - HCP and Consumer. The Insights Senior Manager & Pan-Franchise Projects Coordinator uses sound market research. They apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to guide brand teams in making key decisions. They inform brand performance and forecasts, develop promotional tactics, and build overall brand strategy. They coordinate pan-franchise projects on behalf of the Lung Team, including enterprise AI systems and portfolio-wide standardization initiatives. Keys to success in this position are superlative communication, consultative and influencing skills, and a strong knowledge of primary market research techniques and secondary data analysis. This is an individual contributor role, responsible for leading internal projects and external vendors.
This role reports to the Integrated Insights Senior Director for the Lung Franchise and sits within US Integrated Insights - Oncology Business Excellence organization, an inclusive team that partners with the US Oncology commercial organization to drive strategic decisions by providing objective, data-driven insight generation and analytics.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify key business needs with collaborators and build research/analysis plans to deliver actionable insights to develop strategy, collaborating closely with forecasting and analytics colleagues

  • Continuously assess priorities on market research / insight plans and execute market research projects with minimal supervision by leading external agency work; develop and maintain market research project budget

  • Second only to Integrated Insights Sr. Director of a franchise in ability to translate insights results to inform forecasting assumptions and recommended strategic & tactical actions to brand leadership

  • Apply AI tools to primary market research execution & analysis; drive assessment and adoption of novel AI techniques

  • Build presentations that clearly and succinctly highlight the actionable insights combined with business implications & options

  • Compile, analyze, and visualize findings from secondary marketing and/or sales data (including identification and appropriate use of data sources), in partnership with Analytics colleagues

  • Coordinate insights metrics and benchmark tracking for the brand (e.g., ATU, Chart Audit), conveying the perspectives of HCPs and consumers for the brand

  • Lead US commercial competitive intelligence for relevant launched / launching treatments, providing insight to changing market dynamics and strategic implications

  • Create the integrated insights picture for the brand, weaving together primary market research, secondary analysis, and analytics from US Business Excellence colleagues

  • Manage data access for enterprise projects, coordinating integration of AI systems and dashboarding/reporting updates on behalf of the Lung Franchise

  • Partner or equivalent experience with the Senior Director and other cross-functional leadership to continuously improve processes and system builds for optimal and efficient output enabling strategic decision-making

Essential Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Math, Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research)

  • 4+ years of experience at a pharmaceutical / biotechnology manufacturer or working in the biopharmaceutical industry (e.g., management consulting, market research, data/analytics, investment banking)

  • 2+years of primary market research and analytical experience applying varied primary research techniques and secondary information analysis

  • Proven ability to influence laterally and vertically

  • Strong understanding of primary market research tools and techniques

  • Experience with novel AI methodologies

Desired Experience/Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field or Advanced Marketing Degree (e.g., MBA)

  • Experience synthesizing primary market research with analytics/secondary data to create a more robust understanding (e.g. commercial performance tracking)

  • Insights launch experience with a new brand or indication

  • Experience working in Oncology

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $ 122,121 to $ 183,182. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives-an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
