Job Summary:
The Live Auction Sales Associate will host live auctions on various social media platforms, specializing in refurbished electronics. This role involves showcasing tech products on camera, engaging with a live audience, and driving sales in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a base wage and commission on monthly sales. Refreshed Tech is recognized as one of the fastest growing live auction sites on TikTok and Whatnot platforms with 700 followers.
Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Host livestream auctions to promote the sale of electronics devices, educate audiences, and generate product sales.
  • Clearly and accurately present refurbished technology items (e.g., smartphones, laptops, gaming consoles) on camera, highlighting their features, condition, and value proposition.
  • Interact dynamically with viewers in the auction and live chat, answer technical questions in real-time, manage bidding activity, and build a loyal online following.
  • Follow all live stream platform guidelines and company policies at all times, to ensure a positive community experience.
  • Manage the planning and preparation of daily products, create show listings, and maintain an organized presentation area during auctions.
  • Post-Sale processing of customer transactions during the auction, track sales data, and provide efficient post-sale customer service to ensure satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot basic streaming equipment or software issues as needed to ensure smooth show execution.

Competencies/Skills/Abilities:
  • On-Camera presence with strong communication skills and comfort with speaking on camera to a live audience are essential.
  • Tech savvy with In-depth knowledge of consumer electronics and the refurbished technology market is a must.
  • Prior sales experience in (retail, online, or showroom) is preferred, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Familiarity with livestream selling platforms, or a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Strong communication skills with outgoing personality, adaptability, and strong customer service orientation are key for building a community.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a live, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-Motivated: Must be dependable, organized, and self-motivated to drive consistent results.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of relevant sales experience
  • Experience in the live streaming space, understanding of live streaming trends.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Proven track record in business development and sales within the live-streaming, e-commerce, media or digital marketing industry.
  • Tech savvy with In-depth knowledge of consumer electronics and the refurbished technology market
  • 2 years experience in external-facing sales roles preferred.
