Manager, Project Manager - Consumer Behavior AnalyticsAbout the Team
Marketing and product innovation are the engines of growth at Capital One. To exceed rising customer expectations for personalized, seamless, and delightful interactions, we require a robust, unified, and accurate data foundation. The Consumer Behavior Analytics (CBA) team-situated within Enterprise's Data, Assistance & AI (DA&AI)-plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining this foundation.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and autonomous Manager, Project Management to lead execution within our Data Governance, Consumption, and Insights domain. In this role, you will support initiatives to drive global privacy compliance, data convergence, and support the Consumer Digital Behavior Data Product (CDBDP). You will serve as a key operational leader driving large-scale change management, including project managing the migration of thousands of customers from legacy Potomac to CBA, and fully owning the DORC (Data Ownership & Governance Controls) process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Data Governance & Privacy Adherence: Lead processes and workflows expanding CBA capabilities to be in compliance with GDPR and international data privacy regulations

  • Platform Migration & Change Management: Drive and project manage the end-to-end migration of thousands of customers transitioning off legacy platforms to the CBA platform.

  • DORC Process Ownership: Fully own, execute, and streamline the Data Ownership & Governance Controls (DORC) framework which ensures data standardization across the CBA ecosystem.

  • Data Product Support (CDBDP): Partner with Product and Engineering to support operations, governance, and consumption capabilities for the Consumer Digital Behavior Data Product (CDBDP).

  • Core Governance & Stewardship: Support horizontal SPRO governance, act as a performing data steward, and help manage data scan remediations to maintain a well-managed data foundation.

  • Communication: Engages in meaningful rituals with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide visibility into milestones and blockers. Crafts data-backed narratives tailored to diverse stakeholder audiences and drives consensus across conflicting viewpoints.

  • Problem Solving: Operates independently in ambiguous environments to structure complex strategic projects. Applies structured problem solving to shift manual compliance and operational workflows into scalable, automated solutions.

  • Job-Specific Execution: Consistently executes enterprise frameworks, complex compliance initiatives, and network stewardship end-to-end with high accuracy and minimal leadership prompting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 4 years of process or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management certification or Project Management Certification

  • 5+ years of experience in Process management

  • 5+ years of experience in Project management

  • 2+ years of experience in People management

  • 1+ years of experience working with Product and Technology teams

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York, NY: $165,700 - $189,200 for Manager, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
