We are the largest dental insurance company and continue to grow. Based in Naperville, IL Delta Dental of Illinois has over 50 years of oral health experience and is dedicated to clients and employees alike.

We're looking for a Sales Support Specialist who can:
  • Provide the administrative and organizational support necessary to assist Sales Executives in achieving their sales goals Coordinate the Request for Proposal (RFP) process from receipt to delivery. This includes entering it into the system, following up with the broker to obtain additional information, and coordinating with underwriting to identify areas of concern. May require RFP data analysis to determine products to quote, pricing, etc.
  • Prepare various reports such as geographical access, network comparison, and disruption reports.
  • Coordinate receipt of proposal from underwriting. Prepare, collate, bind hard copies (when required) and deliver to Sales Executive(s) for release to broker/consultant or release directly to broker/consultant when instructed
  • Prepare materials for broker meetings including assembling kits, developing power point presentations and other informational handouts.
  • Prepare materials for finalist meetings including assembling books, developing PowerPoint presentations and other informational handouts.
  • Coordinate all post-sale activities including completion and submission of group application and interdepartmental communications.
  • Communicate accurately and promptly to phone inquiries and emails from brokers and/or consultants. Communications range from responses to basic to mid-level inquiries that may require coordination and communication with multiple departments and/or staff throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 2 or more years administrative experience supporting a sales team, preferably in the medical or dental benefits industry.
  • Must hold a current Insurance Producer's license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation or acquire it within a specified period following date of hire.
  • Experience with RFP processing from inception to completion.
  • Preferred candidate will have experience with Salesforce.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
