Job description

AG Consulting Engineering, PC (AG), a design, engineering, and construction management firm headquartered in Manhattan, New York is looking for a Project Engineer to support a variety of construction projects in Albany, New York. Duration is long term. Employees at AG embrace ownership of each project, bringing quality, innovation, and integrity into each client relationship.

The key to AG’s continued success is its commitment to developing and investing in our employees. Position: Project Engineer Location: Corning Towers, Empire State Plaza, Albany, New York Projects: Variety of projects Job Duties Analyze project health for a portfolio of projects in both design phase and construction phase and develop a monthly project summary of the portfolio. Report will be used to facilitate conversations with both internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidate must be able to work independently and have effective communication skills. Experience in reading project schedules is required. The monthly report must include the following for each project in the portfolio: -Overall project status.

-Current cost vs. planned costs. -Schedule and if the projects are on track or delayed.

-Current project scope and if there are any requested changes. -Track change orders and field orders - understand the impact of each to the project. -Identify and call out action items that require attention of stakeholders.

-Identify current and potentially upcoming delays. -Recommend mitigation strategies. Travel may be required to visit job sites as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Shall possess, at a minimum, 8 years of experience on larger projects valued at above $10 Millon. Knowledge of RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast, and cost scheduling. Preparation of change order review and review of payments.

Preferred qualifications include 2 years' experience in design & construction project scheduling. OSHA 30 Provide construction and inspection services. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
