Consulting Contract information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Consulting Contractor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Consulting Contractor, you need expertise in your field, strong analytical abilities, and a proven track record of delivering results, often supported by relevant degrees or professional certifications. Familiarity with project management tools, data analysis software, and industry-specific platforms is typically expected. Exceptional communication, adaptability, and self-management skills help you build client trust and manage projects independently. These competencies are crucial for consistently meeting client expectations, maintaining professional relationships, and delivering high-impact solutions.

What are some common challenges consultants face when working on contract-based projects?

Consultants on contract-based projects often encounter challenges such as adapting quickly to new organizational cultures, managing client expectations, and balancing multiple projects with overlapping deadlines. Since each client may have different processes and communication styles, consultants must be flexible and proactive in building relationships and clarifying project goals. Additionally, contract consultants are responsible for their own time management and may need to handle administrative tasks like invoicing and documenting deliverables, which can add to the workload but also provide valuable business experience.

What is a consulting contract?

A consulting contract is a legally binding agreement between a consultant and a client that outlines the terms, scope, and conditions of the consulting services to be provided. It typically covers details such as deliverables, payment terms, duration of the engagement, confidentiality, and any intellectual property rights. Consulting contracts help protect both parties by clarifying expectations and responsibilities, reducing the risk of misunderstandings or disputes. These agreements are essential for establishing a professional working relationship and ensuring both parties are aligned on objectives and outcomes.

What is the difference between Consulting Contract vs Freelance Consultant?

AspectConsulting ContractFreelance Consultant
CredentialsTypically requires industry-specific expertise, certifications, or degreesOften relies on portfolio and experience, certifications vary
Work EnvironmentUsually employed through a consulting firm or directly hired by clients for specific projectsOperates independently, managing own clients and projects
Employer & Industry UsageCommon in management, IT, and business consulting sectorsPrevalent across various industries including marketing, IT, and creative fields

Consulting contracts involve working on specific projects for clients, often through firms or direct hiring, with formal agreements. Freelance consultants operate independently, managing their own clients and projects, offering flexibility but less formal structure. Both roles require expertise, but differ in work setup and contractual arrangements.

Location: Remote (Global)

Overview

We are building one of the most forward-thinking AI-powered Salesforce practices in the market.

Our focus is simple: move organisations from traditional CRM delivery to AI-first operating models, powered by Agentforce, automation, and intelligent workflows.

To support this, we are looking for a highly experienced Agentforce Trainer / Salesforce AI Consultant to work closely with our internal team of Salesforce developers, architects, and product leaders.

This is not a standard consulting role.
This is about shaping how a global team thinks, designs, and delivers AI-driven Salesforce solutions.

The Role

You will act as a hands-on expert and trainer, delivering structured workshops and real-world guidance to enable our teams to:

  • Design and build Agentforce-powered AI agents
  • Translate business requirements into AI-driven use cases
  • Implement end-to-end intelligent workflows across Salesforce
  • Shift from traditional development to AI-first solution architecture

You will play a key role in upskilling our entire Salesforce capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver monthly hands-on workshops for Salesforce developers and architects
  • Train teams on Agentforce architecture, capabilities, and best practices
  • Support the design and build of real-world AI use cases, including:
    • AI SDR (Sales Development Representative) agents
    • Customer Service / Support agents
    • Onboarding and operations agents
  • Guide teams on prompt design, orchestration, and agent workflows
  • Provide advisory on scaling AI solutions across enterprise environments
  • Review and improve existing implementations and use cases
  • Help define internal frameworks, accelerators, and best practices

Required Experience

  • Proven experience working with Agentforce (Salesforce AI Agents)
  • Demonstrated experience building multiple AI agents end-to-end
  • Strong background as a Salesforce Consultant / Architect
  • Hands-on delivery of AI use cases such as:
    • Sales automation / SDR agents
    • Customer service automation
    • Workflow automation using AI
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud)
    • AI-driven workflows and automation
    • Prompt engineering and agent orchestration
  • Ability to train, mentor, and communicate complex concepts clearly

What We're Looking For

  • Someone who is genuinely AI-first in their thinking
  • A practitioner — not just theory, but real-world delivery experience
  • Strong communicator who can lead workshops and influence senior teams
  • Passion for building scalable, intelligent solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, high-growth environment

Why This Role

  • Work with a global AI and Salesforce innovation team
  • Be part of building next-generation AI products and services
  • Influence how AI is delivered across multiple industries and markets
  • Long-term opportunity with consistent engagement and impact
  • Direct involvement in cutting-edge Agentforce implementations

Engagement Model

  • Ongoing contract / advisory role/Perm
  • Monthly workshop delivery (core requirement)
  • Additional involvement in solution design and strategic initiatives
